My guess is either Gary because Nick publicly called him out or Fred. Fred was openly telling the media he was upset about being asked to reduce his role in terms of ball handling responsibilities. I could see him being upset about that.

Scottie is the main playmaker of the future whether he is labeled the PG or not. We waste him if he is not initiating plays. It would not make sense to give Fred the bag, and see him pout if he is not the guy, and then trade GTJ because we can't afford to give him the bag.

I largely agree with you. Scottie needs to be the guy quarterbacking the offense. He's the fulcrum and lead decision-maker. You're not maximizing him without allowing for that. Anything creating friction with that set-up should go.

He's having the best year of his career. If anything, Nurse is going to want like 5% of GTJ's earnings from his next contract. LOL. Since Nurse called him out, GTJ has been shooting at a 62% TS% and has stepped it up considerably on the defensive end. He's been phenomenal.

Even with career best efficiency Trent is still a medicore impact player cause he never playmakes or rebounds and his defense is reliant on gambling for steals. I just don't see the huge appeal of GTJ he's not gonna be worth his next contract.

Sadly our team is so offensively inept that GTJ's value to us is way higher than it would be compared to other teams.

Outside of the team losing, why would Siakam be unhappy in Toronto?

Well team losing is a massive factor that we can't ignore.
He's playing the best basketball of his life and I doubt he wants to waste his prime years on a rebuilding team with no hopes of contending in the near future, especially after getting a taste of a championship.

Not to mention, the FO has failed Siakam.
Since becoming the first option of this squad, he's never gotten an opportunity to play with a point guard/playmaker that can create for him on a consistent basis (Lowry that bubble year doesn't count).
The FO also failed to provide him with a reliable front court partner, he's been forced to play with the likes of Tank Commander Baynes, the dead corpse of Gasol, young rook Koloko, Boucher, etc. Siakam's bread and butter has always been to attract the double team down low and dish it to the open big. His assist numbers would be even higher if he had a reliable center to play alongside. Masai & co. have failed to provide that because they've been too focused on building a team with 6'9 forwards.

So yes, Siakam has every right to be frustrated.
I doubt he demands a trade because he seems too loyal, but no one should be surprised if he asks to be traded.

Raps take on Graham's bad deal, but get Daniels, the recent #8 overall pick.

Pelicans go into the playoffs with VanVleet / CJ / Ingram / Zion / Val + Herb as the super sub, which is a well balanced lineup if the defense holds up (I'm skeptical though)

I'd probably pass on this.

Daniels is not that impressive in my eyes and I don't think I want to give up Vanvleet AND take on Graham if all we're getting is him and Hayes.

Dyson is 19 years old and is showing a lot of poise, I would take the next 12 years of Dysons career for the inconvenience of Grahams 12M a year for the next 2.
