Shaq and McGrady have the best chemistry. Magic and Kawhi would be cool too.
Giannis and KD for pure star power.

Given that these are mostly obnoxiously strong offensive duos, their respective defensive strengths would be the logical area to begin sorting them. Players like Robinson, Olajuwon or Duncan are practically a ++ defense unto themselves.

Re: Which Tandem Would you take to build a team
It was between Bird/Malone and KD/Giannis for me. And I picked them on the basis of "how I would build a team", not necessarily "best duo".
Either of those duos can fit into tons of different setups, being able to play both sides, and also exert a lot of offensive pressure (SF floor spacing, PF paint presence, all can pass). So these duos could leave me with more options in a theoretical draft. Went with Bird/Malone because based on my understanding and limited viewing, they have a passing edge. But it's a close call either way.
I know Bird/Malone have the "playoff performance drop-off" criticism levied at them but I'm not convinced the issue remains in the right team or better system.

I am high on Luka and think DRob might be the best fit for him even historically...

Interesting. I considered the two tweener forwards as the clumsiest combination, two left feet as it were

The inside outside scoring would be a problem!
