- The closest would be Jalen Graham (Arkansas) I believe. Both 6'9 around 230 lbs with Sochan having a 7ft+ wingspan and Graham having a 7'2 wingspan. Sochan with an unknown but not impressive vertical. Graham with a 39 inch vertical. Both players are very versatile switchable defenders with great recovery, fluid lateral movement and both have great anticipation and a relentless motor.

After that, You'd have Matthew Cleveland and Leaky Black that are a very close mix of Sochan/ Herb Jones) in terms of defensive switchibility and versatility, also slightly smaller Cleveland (6'7) and Black (6'8).

Seems like a intriguing archetype to build upon.
San Antonio has ever whiffed on a lottery guy?

You mean like Luka Samanic, James Anderson, Lonnie Walker, Luis Scola, or Ian Mahinmi to name a few? Every team misses occasionally, even the Spurs. It's just that the top teams at drafting that consistently pull the most value from the draft just happen to put the time and investment (due diligence) into it.

Thanks I'll eventually dive into them. Sochan might be low-key my favorite non suns player in.the nba rn.
Kinda sad bc we were really interested in him (I suppose) but no one wanted to take a chance on DA.

Just so many really good 3 & D power forward options throughout this draft! It's like it was tailor made to help us address our issues on multiple levels at a controlled cost!

Just so much really good to elite talent throughout this draft! We could really upgrade our core talent in most ranges of the draft. Whitehead will definitely be an impact starter and possible all star in the league! reminds me a bit of a pre injury Oladipo!

We should just close this thread until we hire a real GM, at this point its just too painful to look at all the guy we wont be drafting.

:o :o :o

Mid 2nd round or maybe even undrafted pick (two-way) upside talent swing consideration??
He seems to have some Markannen talent possibly?? definitely progressing much faster than when I first reviewed him. To his credit, awesome progress despite playing in a smaller conference too. Our scouts need to be doing serious "due diligence" on this guy and keep tabs on him. Our draft night plan should go as follows:

Elite combo guard or playmaking/ Iso scoring wing with our first round pick. And then a high end 3 & D big (4/5) with our 2nd. And then scour the undrafted pool for serious "under the radar" upside talent swings like this guy. He surely is working his way into my top 5 big man list! IF he continues to fly under the radar, And we can get him as an undrafted two way development big, Then we get an A+ draft night!!!

Another elite 6'7-6'8 guard/SG/wing option with playmaking ability that could be in our range if we keep sliding into the lottery. He could go anywhere in the top 6 honestly. Maybe even possibly slide to 7. But he wouldn't cost us as much as Siakim and has similar high end potential post development.

When it's all said and done on draft night, although not one of my top choices. Jett Howard is a very decent consolation prize for not prioritizing a higher draft slot and another legit impact starter to our core to help maximize Booker's window here. Jett (Juwan Howard's son) doesn't have star potential, but could be a solid rotation player like a slightly bigger Dillon Brooks perhaps. Or maybe a poor man's Steve Smith! For anyone not familiar with Steve Smith, he was a very good very versatile 6'8- 6'9 scorer.

**I would also add that he'd be a very solid insurance policy/ backup for Cam Johnson. So it's makes sense why they'd target him.

Plays like these along with playing at Michigan may have Jett playing his way into a suns uni by the summer!

For anyone out there forgetting about Marcus Sasser and saying he's not elite and doesn't have legitimate nba talent, Just a little reminder here:

Yet another clear reason why we really need to push for a top 8 slot in this upcoming draft to add a legitimately ELITE HIGH IMPACT player to our core! Especially since we'll be losing Paul as soon as right after next season at the latest. Then our "GO to" options will be even less! We need another elite core talent PERIOD!!

Yup. We need to call it if we still stink by the end of the month. I still want to keep cp3 around though.

Who are your top 5 prospects heading into next season for the Suns to acquire? It doesn’t have to be in particular order. Are you valuing pg more over a pf or both needs to be addressed?

I'm 100% valuing PG over anything else-except obviously Wemby. So as such:

Wemby
Scoot
Amen
Brandon Miller
Ausar Thompson

I'm no GoK so my stuff is basic. That said lots of PGs or at least a guard that can help. I'm a firm believer in Chris Paul being able to help get the best out of whatever guard we get.
