I rather play our younger players and obtain assets for FVV while we still can. This season is a wash, we are in no man’s land with our current “vets” leading the way.

I'm on Team Just How Good are the Raptors? And I'm as pissed as the tankers must be about this soft part of the schedule.

That stat is telling you they suck with this advantage. Anyway, when you get to talking about fake wins and real losses I think you just can't enjoy the team anymore. Good teams win, bad teams lose. It's that simple.

It's not telling me that. It's screaming small sample size, or that the timing of the samples is misleading.

Where's the L at? I be taking it.

3-6 against teams on a B2B. It's funny, Kate Beirness on the radio this morning was saying that tonight was the most important game of the season. I thought that was a ridiculous take, assuming that of course the Raps would win. But she was right. This team just doesn't have jam.

Fred season-ending surgery announcement incoming. No team is going to give up assets for his expiring contract. He'll get his medical treatment, opt into the contract for next season and bet on himself in 2024. But what to do about Pascal?

we could honestly be a really exciting team next season if we actually capitalize on these trade assets and get a good pick.

If we're able to trade Fred, Boucher. Get some picks back. Trent, OG, Pascal, Scottie, a top 10 pick, maybe a pick (or two) in the 15-25 range, Precious, Koloko.

we should really trade siakam and thats what i had in mind when capitalizing on the assets. Its just too much of a gamble to not deal him at this moment in time.

Stop "Jimming the camera" Jim. I have no idea what you're talking about.

Talking about the tWo when its not obvious that's what we're going to do is more fun as opposed to when it's carved in stone, like if we were to lose 6 of our next 7 or something worse maybe.

Fred's leadership is leading us straight to the lottery. Imagine branding yourself as a leader and being so bad at it.

16 games until trade deadline including last night vs Charlotte. I guessed our record. I will update after each game.

Jan 14 - Atlanta - W .... Loss (19-24)

Jan 16 - @ NY - L
Jan 17 - @ Milwaukee - L
Jan 19 - @ Minnesota - L
Jan 21 - Boston - L
Jan 22 - NY - W
Jan 25 - @ Sacramento - L
Jan 27 - @ G.S. - L
Jan 28 - @ Portland - L
Jan 30 - @ Phoenix - L
Feb 1 - @ Utah - W
Feb 3 - @ Houston - W
Feb 5 - @ Memphis - L
Feb 8 - San Antonio - W

Feb 9 = Trade Deadline.

7-9 record as per above (24-32). But lets say we get 2 extra wins and go 9-7 instead, we would be (26-30).

To put things in perspective on Feb 9 of last year (deadline was Feb 10), our record was 30-23.

That Bucks game might be a fake win, with Giannis likely out (Bucks on end of a b2b)

Imagine that leading to the trade deadline. Even if we go 1-4 we will be 20-28 ...

NYK are favorites to land OG if he's moved. I would love to see a NYK godfather picks offer. Or you move Trent/Fred and try to retool with OG/Barnes/Siakam core in new year

Agreed. I love Siakam. He's one of my favourite Raptors ever. But he's about to be 29 and he's playing some of the best basketball of his career. Now is as good a time as any to trade him. He'd bring back a HAUL. You're looking at ~5 FRPs or the equivalent in prospects. Trading him would supercharge the rebuild.
