The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

I am guessing we might still see Conley play today. Some reports yesterday said he was just resting on the first night of a back to back game.
Regardless, I don't mind our younger players getting more minutes in Conley's absence. It is both entertaining to watch them and a good opportunity for them to try to improve their games.

Joel Embiid scored a career high 59 points in our first meeting back on Nov 13th. Rookie Kessler only played 12 mins in that game and has improved since then. But guarding Joel Embiid and staying out of foul trouble will still be a big challenge for the rookie.

And we had a good fight.
We are a promising team, but we need the better defenders in the roster playing to have a chance.
THT, NAW and Kessler need to be playing big minutes vs better teams to compete.

Yes, nice game for THT. At 6'4", with 7'1" wingspan and 235 lbs, he brings positive defensive strength to our guard and small forward positions. In addition, he puts pressure on the rim and is a decent rebounder and passer.
His 48.9 TS% is too low and needs to substantially improve to stick as a rotation player in the NBA, but he is still pretty young and might be able to turn a corner to shoot better. This is like his 3rd season given he was out with injury for nearly his entire rookie season.

This was a very impressive performance from rookie Kessler playing against the best two-way center in the NBA.
And it was a very impressive game from Clarkson given the entire Philly defense was focused on trying to slow him down. They didn't have to worry about defending Markkanen.

I was sure the game was over halfway in the first quarter but somehow the Jazz came back and managed to have an opportunity to win the game. We saw good things from THT and Kessler. That was a high quality loss.
