Yeah, selling high on Dejounte and his 5 star rating off a career year and buying low on Dame off an injury plagued year. Still offensively in the sim they are putting up similar numbers (although who knows if that will translate with a team change) but I lose a great deal on defense with the loss of Dejounte.

I love Dejounte and didn't think I'd ever trade him but I'm betting that over the course of their BAF contracts, they will be about even value. Adding Cole Anthony's cheap deal and a couple of draft picks that I'm still trying to use to upgrade elsewhere, and I think I had to do it. Wack's made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

And with Dejounte's defense and all-around game and Beal's offense, Wack's backcourt is going to give everyone headaches.

I think Toronto did an amazing job acquiring value in that trade.

Now my 2 glaring holes are PF and depth. But man, Dejounte/Beal/OG/?/Chet with Mathurin off the bench is mighty nice. Had to give up the farm to get it, but you gotta pay to get talent. Dejounte won't stay a 5 star in upcoming years if his IRL usage remains lower playing next to Trae, but I think he'll still be a fine fit.

My other point from the other day is that Dejounte and Beal are both on the lower end on cost of 4+ star players (except the rookie deals). It's not like I'm hamstrong with a $500 player.

I agree. I do like though that Atlanta was a buyer today and acquired some nice pieces so that pick might become more towards the 5-8 range while mine, with my lackluster depth especially in the frontcourt, could become better (worse?) and jump up to like 4.
