Monday 1/16 MLK Day Game Thread

Post#1 » by bisme37 » Mon Jan 16, 2023 4:29 pm

A full day of games on NBATV, League Pass and TNT.

Grizzlies, Celtics, Knicks and Heat all look to continue their win streaks as the league honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

I guess that Westbrook didn't realize that there were other Laker players on the court during the final play.

Celts killing it so far. I'm sleepy but luckily they aren't haha. Incredible energy and ball movement and everyone is in attack mode.

Let's see if the refs allow Knicks to even breathe on siakam today or the usual 5 steps to the basket and 1 nonsense.

Tatum with 51/9/5 on 65% shooting. One of the best MLK Day performances of all time according to a graphic the Hornets broadcast showed.

Plumlee has been putting up great numbers, wonder if anyone trades for him.

TJ McConnell with 25 pts 2 reb 6 ast 2 ste 0 turnovers 9/9 FG 4/4 3's 3/3 FT... in 16 minutes, we're at halftime right now.

This has to be the most ridiculous thing I have ever witnessed. You'd have a hard time duplicating that on 2k.

Man the Pelicans are loaded. Dyson Daniels is a menace on the defensive end, and they’ve got Marshall, Alvarado, Larry Nance, Hayes, Murphy and Graham to go with a strong starting 5. Will take some stopping in the west, health permitting

Im never impressed when i watch the Cavs play man. They've got the talent but they always seem to come out flat as hell. Get a real coach man JB ain't it.

If I was GS I would be calling. Plumlee is a perfect fit for a GS 5. Good passing big man, good rebounder, really good screen setter and a solid defender. Obviously Looney would still be the starting 5, just think having Plumlee coming off the bench would be a great fit for them.

By my count, the Lakers, Suns, Timberwolves, Jazz, Wizards, Pelicans, Bucks, Pacers, and possibly Grizzlies are without their best player today (without arguing Beal/Porzingis or AD/LBJ, who might actually both sit). That's half of the teams playing. At least a handful of teams are also without their second-best player. Wtf, Adam Silver?

Wow, the 16 minutes part is the kicker. That's an absurd line.
