I would definitely lose a little faith in the front office if they made another Thad Young like trade where they trade the 1st for a vet.

Personally haven’t liked anything they’ve done since the championship outside of drafting Barnes.

plus out of all the guys on the roster, you could probably replace his production/skillset "easier" than the rest since its mainly shooting. Not sure we would pay all that money for that.

jesus christ, have u guys seen ayton without Paul? This guy is garbage and he's being paid 30+mill/year

We dont need an expensive C. Just pay significantly less for a guy like Poeltl, both from an asset POV and salary

Ayton is one of the most overrated players in the NBA. He's a solid starting C making the max. Not a good use of funds or resources unless you're one player away from a championship.

I'd much rather pay Gary 25mil AAV than pay Fred 30+mil.
Gary is turning 24 tomorrow and still has room to grow.
I think 20-25mil AAV for him is fair on a shorter term deal. I'd do 3yr/75mil (with the third year being a team option).

I think the best possible roster construction is the 6'9" thing outside of one 3-point shooting center and a shot creating guard who is like 6'4 or 6'5. So Adding Turner would be one step in the right direction.

Wonder if we could do a GTJ for Turner type deal, and then move FVV for some guard depth?

it would be nice, but definitely not at Ayton money. Probably not even at post-extension Turner money. And that's not even taking into account the value that will have to be given up to acquire them.

Accurate ? No but he basically reports on every thing that he hears.
