i don't either....i guess they feel confident that once Koloko grows into his role, he can anchor the defense better to cover FVV's weaknesses.
And that FVV will bounce back....
i think it comes down to salary...maybe other teams like Suns and Magic are really high on FVV.
The problem with Koloko is his offense, and may take 3 years to develop.
I think it makes sense if we trade for Turner and pay him for his prime, then we review Koloko until Turner is in his final year.
With Turner getting paid, and next with Siakam and OG, salary for VanVleet would be critical. I think we will do the same for VanVleet like how we handle Lowry, we will try to get assets in a sign and trade even we cannot afford him.
