One thing to say is that on/off numbers of Jokic are partially skewed by Malone's rotation patterns, there's too much co-linearity there: 935 out of his 1202 minutes have been with both Caldwell-Pope and Gordon.

Starters play together? Isn’t that just normal for all players in a 5 man unit? I don’t see it as skewed

Curry for example has a huge buffer with Green +14 and +3 when Green isn’t there but they’ve basically played their careers together

Nuggets offence and defence have plummeted each of the last 3 seasons whenever he sits and it’s been the same this year.

Gordon +17.3
co linearity is known to be one of the biggest issues in all this wowy stats.

Okay but who is the key driver in all three eye popping +-‘s?

It’s no secret Gordon’s career best efficiency comes from Jokic.

I don’t see it as an issue as moreso that player X boosts the value of others as a byproduct of elite play.

You can do it for any elite player btw.

the fact that back to back MVP winner who is having even better season averaging triple double on a 62% fg is not considered as a lock to win the MVP just shows how ridiculously good top players are this year

Jokic just misses out on his 2nd triple double with a TS% of at least 100% for the season. Settles for his 3rd triple double with at least a 90% TS%...

These are just stupid numbers. He has officially mastered the offensive side of the ball.

Agreed poor shot selection. So bad that they should go back and take away his previous 2 MVPs...

I have been very hard on Embiid these past few years because of playstyle\demanor

after starting this season worse than ever in terms of foul baiting, falling to the ground etc, he is finally playing better imo
I haven't watched all 76ers games lately, just quarters here and there, but from what i've seen in that great strech b4 the foot injury and continues since coming back - he is playing much better

where are all the people who argued he falls to the ground to "protect himself"?

suddently he's on the ground much less. is he not protecting himeslf anymore?

despite missing a good chunk of games he is now in the top 5 for the first time this season for me
with Giannis, KD, Curry etc. missing significant time as well he is still a long way from the top (and won't get there due to GP and well...Jokic) but credit's due where credit's due

Jokic's only miss was a buzzer beating heave.

36/12/10 on 100% shooting more or less.

I say this with a level head. MVP or no MVP. He's the best player in the world and the best passer of all time.

If Embiid misses one more game, and somehow wins MVP, he'd be the first MVP in 45 years to miss more than 11 games. I just don't see it with how well Luka/Jokic/Tatum are playing.

Giannis is starting to sit a lot of games as well.
