Ya I'm still scratching my head at that choice. I know it's the state bird or some chit like that but it doesn't even sound good let alone make any sense for a sports team.

The state bird is the Brown Pelican, the smallest of all Pelicans.

The state bird is the Brown Pelican, the smallest of all Pelicans.

I think the Raptors should rename their team the Toronto Canadian Geese, would make about as much sense :lol:
