I turned the game on with about 7 minutes to go, just foul after foul after foul. Terrible product. Nice win though.

we didn't really win...Portland simply lost harder.

Really need to figure out how to harness the positive aspects more. Feel like we get Biid going at the expense of everyone else's flow. Ive said my piece on Trez as the back up 5. Our defense is also based heavily on guys missing open looks...that gets schemed hard in the playoffs IMO.

STILL this is also a game we generally blow so there is that I guess.

Professional win.

Maintained 10pt margin Biid scored 9pts, one less to his target season average

Harden definitely partied, or will be partying tonight. Portland has some of the best strip clubs in the country....

Well, we got a bit of distance from both the Cavs and the Nets.

Great stuff all around

It would be nice if the Celtics started losing already, but they are really looking like the future NBA champions. Played terribly in the 4th and then took over in OT.

I don't agree, he was put on Lillard for a big chunk of the 3rd quarter which was on par with the start of them coming back, he also made some bad fouls that put us early on the bonus.

Did he got some blocks and deflections? yes, but he needs to constantly get that stuff to compensate for the fact that teams don't respect him, to the level of letting him open below the basket.

Agree to disagree. He played greaaat defense on Lillard and that's very valuable especially during playoffs. Let the guy get minutes on the regular season and add on more and more experience. He has been a + on the floor and not like he's making us lose games for anyone to want to dnp him

Dunno how that score was as close as it was at the end. The Blazers played like trash.

That shot by Embiid with around 90 seconds left was pretty terrific. The Blazers actually defended him well and he just put up a really high arcing shot that went in. That locked it up I think.

We’ve been trying to use Maxey (or whoever is hot not named Embiid) to maintain a 10pt margin to prevent tight games in the end. Then when it gets tight, we’re trying to get Biid see/experience all kind of defense in crunch time.

We won by 10 despite playing meh in the 4th quarter. Sign of a good team.

Should have Milton with Maxey.

Personally, I think it’s OK because he hasn’t been a liability out there where teams would leave him open or attack him on defense (his man to man defense numbers is bad). While the rest of the guys can carry his slack.

Then off the bench, Milton and Maxey’s chemistry has been nice. Add Niang to the mix. And you got a pretty potent scoring in your bench that can keep you afloat while Biid and Harden can get their rest.
