I mean, I get that most of us are anti-Celtics, or maybe anti-Sixers, or maybe even the Rockettes? (haha, I'm so funnily ironic)

But c'mon, dudes, those of you who insist on calling other teams petty little names (like "The Saltics"), I'm honestly questioning your 3rd-grade education at this point. Because you little doofuses sound like the very ones who got to wear the dunce-cap and sit in the corner, all class-long.

Seriously-- is petty name-calling really *ALL* you got, duderino..?

I agree it can being annoying when overused but it's a sports forum, comes with the territory :lol:

I must say, for me it's also kind of a great 'tell,' like in cards.

As in, the ones doing the 'telling' usually seem to have the weakest hands.

Beantown is a racist, mean-spirited town IMO (and I grew up in Philly), so I'm not surprised in the least when some of them gnash their teeth at us or anything.

Personally, I also find it amusing that the Celts have arguably had the near-consistently best collection of NBA talent for what... 6-7 years now? Yet every year until last, they found a way to crash out early.

Point is-- why would I need to care about what certain of their obnoxious fans are like, when I can just smirk about how they not just underperformed, but also frittered away so many picks, much of them hand-delivered with a bow by King & Prokhy?

Still, though. Still.

Like it or not, the Celtics are an all-time great franchise, and not just that, but every team in the league deserves some measure of respect IMO. Which is why to me, you sound like a whiny little 3rd-grader when you throw whiny little 3rd-grade insults around.

So dude. If you're going to insult another team, how about showing the slightest bit of flair or originality, or maybe just share a good meme, right?

Or just keep saying "Saltics" and other gradeschool insults, making it all that much easier to skip past whatever childish comment went along with that thought.

I agree, I would rather focus on us, in all its joy and pain.

This was always going to be a frustrating stretch for us, and it had nothing to do with outside influences. We're stung by the loss of our leader, and the lieutenants have been less than inspiring as replacement alphas. We've dug ourselves a hole by dropping 3 off our easiest games this month, and now we face a couple of feisty WC teams, who are also reeling. Its going to be a gut check back to back on the road. If we're going to succeed and right the ship, it's got to be because the Nets are only thinking about being the best version of ourselves.
