I don’t know about you, but I could never boo a guy that won the Finals MVP for your team. Maybe Spurs fans are spoiled with 4 other rings without Kawhi, but that’s just me.

literally no idea why they don't do this more often. if you trade for morris and plan on bashing your head against the wall to start him no matter what the cost, at least do this stuff more often??? if you trade for paul george and kawhi to be the main stars of your team, maybe feature them doing things together???

like hello? why has it taken so long to get this stuff rolling out?

you answered your own question bro

Feeding On The Worst

Post#46 » by Wammy Giveaway » Sat Jan 21, 2023 3:16 am

Clippers remain perfect against the worst two teams in each conference. More importantly, they get the season series victory vs. Spurs. But this was a slog, a scrappy desperate forced win, all because everybody started talking bad about them now that they're under .500 and labelled a lottery team.

And they still haven't had an ejection yet. With Simmon's ejection yesterday, the Nets have been disqualified. Only 11 teams remain.

Now 11-0 versus Pistons, Hornets, Rockets and Spurs. Clippers have one more meeting, but I predict that last game will be a free game for San Antonio. They're gonna have to get their win some place else, and it will have to be against an elite team.

idk about you guys but beating the spurs feels a bit more fun than other teams, mostly cause their casting crew is utterly obnoxious. though i will say a michelle beadle as the 3rd person with sieman/jackson would make them like 10x better.

good to win, but, eh, i still don't see what it is that's supposed to make this team special. that IT factor they had not all that long ago evaporated pretty quickly. i sure WONDER if that has to do with covington being stored in the freezer again? HMMM

i sure hope they are figuring things out behind the scenes.

Why they don't do this more often? This is a good question for Ty Belichick and the coaching staff.

Because they both actually have to be on the court together (at the same time.) 8-) 8-)

Maybe that’s why Ty keeps giving Morris so many minutes? He is for sure the saltiest dude on our team.

Speaking of Simmons, I feel like Terance is our poor man’s (or rich man’s? You decide…) version of Ben Simmons.

Well observed. Don McLean just said the same thing. And Ty just said in the postgame that PG was INTENTIONALLY the point guard tonight. 12/0.

Keep Mann as the placeholder starter. He hit some baskets although he was the only starter in the red--minus-14 while all the other starters were plus+10 or more. The starting point guard was not the problem.

And Reggie re-established his leadership tonight playing the entire 4th quarter with KL and PG and some combination of Zu, Batum, Senior and Powell. Reggie plays with authority. When PG or Kawhi got stymied, Reggie came to the ball as an outlet. Kawhi and PG need that certainty out there. Just like Pat Bev plays with authority. It's winning basketball--even if your stats suck.

You don't lose for the shots you missed--you lose for the shots not taken. Miss a shot taken in the rhythm of the offense and we often get the rebound because we're in position. And teammates never get angry at turnovers of aggression either. Next time I'll get it and it'll be an assist.

[I do wonder if Wall is really injured or was just given a 2-week "injury" benching. He was killing us. He plays with authority, but it's stupid authority, like Westbrook. The guy can put up a triple-double and you still lose by 10. But that's another story...]

Poor man's Maxey. TNT tried to compare T-Mann to Maxey but that's a joke. Maxey is 23 and a near-All-Star.

I love T-Mann but let's not pretend he's a point guard or that

Mann is the future

That's fantasy. He's 26, ffs.

I think Ty just found the perfect role for T-Mann, as our placeholder point guard, and still playing the ~20+ minutes per game he's been playing for the last 3 years. No way he can play point guard on the second unit so put him out there with the first unit. Get out there and go as hard as you can as long as you can. Just like they told Kurt Rambis.

Y'all should really look at T-Mann's per-36 minutes stats--exactly the same year-to-year. You is what you is.

This was actually a good victory. Yes, the Spurs have a bad record, but they played extremely well- had great energy and quickness and made almost every open shot and many challenged shots too. Clippers maintained their composure and pulled it out.

I just rewatched the 2nd half of last night’s game.

Clippers offense was much more crisp. Passes , drives and flow was so much more precise.

I just looked up the Spurs defensive ranking and they rank
30th allowing 121 ppg.

Clippers rank 5th defense allowing 110 ppg
But still rank 29th offense with 109.7

How times have changed.

The Clippers led the league in scoring in 2013-14 (Doc’s first year) with 108 ppg and were 14th in opposing ppg with 104 ppg.

I honestly miss the days of the feeling of earning each field goal.
