And Scott Rolen makes it to Cooperstown!
Two player inductions this year, both ex Jays. Nice.

Higher fences tho? I suspect of minimal effect...
Here are the new wall heights. Significantly higher. But fly ball pitchers are still vulnerable.
• The left-field line will continue to be 328 feet and the wall will increase to 14 feet 4 inches high. The right-field line will continue to be 328 feet and the wall height will increase from 10 feet to 12 feet 7 inches.
• Left-centre field will be 368 feet (previously 375 feet) while the wall height will increase to 11 feet 2 inches. Right-centre field will be 359 feet (previously 375 feet) while the wall will be 14 feet 4 inches high.
• The left-centre power alley will be 381 feet (previously 383 feet), while the wall height will increase to 12 feet 9 inches. The right-centre power alley will be 372 feet (previously 383 feet), while the wall will increase to 10 feet 9 inches high.
• Straightaway centre field will remain at 400 feet, but the wall height will decrease from 10 feet to 8 feet high.

16 million or whatever reasons we are paying him, and still got another year lol.

With the new OF dimensions, and Kikuchi's propensity to give up hard contact and home runs, I think we are going to see a lot of Mitch White next season. They obviously signed Kikuchi to a 3 year deal thinking that they could fix him, so I guess there's always hope that he figures something out.

General Blue Jays Thread
He was better out of the BP. Ks were way up at the end of the season with almost 2/ inning as a reliever. He was also far better against lefties. Under the old system he would have been a decent lefty specialist. But his salary is vomit inducing in that role where he can’t be trusted in any type of leverage situation

9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

I’ll accept it.
Your move Kikuchi.
"A career 3-10 4.78 ERA doesn’t make him an ace. But dating Margot does so carry on."
