Šamanić, Kabengele & Valentine all have Double-Doubles.

5:36 woah. Play of the game so far by Kabengele. This block was SICK. This came right after a very nice lob dunk finish by Kabengele. This must not have bene a Maine broadcast, since the announcers didn't seem very enthusiastic about the block haha

Also really liked a pass Kabengele made to a corner shooter out of the short roll.

Only thing I am seeing this game from Kabengele as a negative, he looks a little bit slower getting up and down the floor and also moving laterally. He is quick in short bursts, like after setting a screen and then being able to explode towards the rim for a lob - he's quick with those types of short bursts just running forward. But moving laterally (like on defense to cover ground against a team that is moving the ball quickly) and getting up and down the floor in a fast paced game - it'd be nice if he was a step quicker with that stuff.

I see he's got knee pads on both knees. I don't recall seeing those on in previous games, so maybe his knees are banged up and that's why he isn't quite as quick in this game.

Either way, I am comfortable with him getting a shot at some minutes here and there, if need be. Let's see what he can do!

JD has potential but he's a year away. He isn't getting any playing time for us this season, unless it's garbage time..JD just needs to clean up his defense and keep working on his shooting. The potential is there, though, no question. As we all know, he's a long term piece, only 20 yrs old.

Obviously I don’t follow Maine as much as the Boston version but how are we 7-0 when I know we lost games early in the season? Do they have an extended pre-season or something? Looks like they’re only counting games after the winter showcase.

The g league season is weird. They break it up into like 2 or 3 different parts. There was a recent tournament where we lost a game. So the 7-0 record must not be counting that tournament..

Yeah. They do a lot of "Experiments" in the G League.
The First, is that they start out with a 18-Game (16+2) Tournament-Style.

After that goes to the "Showcase" (aka Tournament), then they Reboot, for a 32-Game "Season" leading up to another Championship.
It's like the NBA's talk of doing a "Mid-Season Tournament".

He's got a chance to be special. Again, just has to keep working on his shot and clean some stuff up on defense. But we need to prioritize his development. He could turn out to be really good.

I think that we should keep Pritchard through this Season.
He will definitely move up the Ladder. Though, he has 3 PG's (Combo Guards) in front of him.

If anyone in front of him on the Depth Chart gets moved, then he Moves up.
Also, Davison can move into PP"s slot, next Season. No Sense in starting his Rookie Contract yet.

Oh for sure. No need to rush it with JD. He's only 20 yrs old. Might not be till the 2024-2025 season until he really starts to make an impact for us. He'll be 22 then.

There's a good chance he's on a 2-way again next season.

-No JD in this game. Must be because he joined the team on the trip to Charlotte. Maybe he'll get some playing time today vs the hornets?

-Without JD, you could tell the team was missing a guy in the back court who could run the show and create good looks for guys.

-The guy who was really missing JD was Kabengele. Kabengele usually gets a bunch of lob dunks off JD assists. But with JD out this game, there was no lobs to Kabengele (at least none that I saw)

-Samanic showed some nice flashes on offense. We see him knocking down 3's, we see him score with a powerful move in the low post, with a nice drop step and strong finish. We see him attack a closeout, put the ball behind his back and hit a floater around the FT line - impressive stuff for a 6'10" dude. And he even hit a pull-up jumper from just inside the 3 pt line. This guy has legit offensive talent for a guy that size. Also hit a cutter with a nice pass. BUT he does not seem to be a good defender. I never see him hustling (like Kabengele does). I feel like he could get abused defensively if we put him in there with the big club. Might just be 1 of those guys who's a good g-league player but can't make it in the NBA. I think he could be better defensively (and on the boards) if he put more effort in - but he just doesn't seem to do it. And sometimes the body language isn't great, where he will hang his head or just flat out walk (slowly) back down the other end of the court after the opposing teams scores.

-Overall, Kabengele looked ok out there. But did miss a box out, where he just there, not boxing out and then his man (Michael Foster Jr) wanted it more, got the rebound and made the put-back.

-Valentine also didn't play. Not sure why not..

-Close loss. We probably would've won if JD and Valentine played.

-Looks like it was a good crowd in Maine for this one. Too bad they couldn't have seen the team at full strength..

JD averaging 9 assists with only 2.4 TO’s a game, also shooting 39% from deep so far, albeit on pretty low volume. TS of 64%, as well.

If he can hit enough threes, and limit his turnovers….his ceiling is pretty intriguing lol.
