It might be that KA And MCD will be the best five-out comboforwards duo that Rosas was looking for.

The Wolves+ interview with Kyle Anderson is amazing. It was the one I was waiting for. I recommend it to everyone, but highlights:

1. Anderson’s dad was a high school basketball coach, and Kyle went there 4-8 PM every day after elementary school got out.

2. His dad didn’t want him pigeonholed as a big in the post, and wanted him to be a PG, so he made his son play two grades ahead so he would be the smallest player to be the PG

3. He said he also had to know how to dribble because he was playing streetball in New York

4. His high school teams won State Championships his junior and senior year, going undefeated. They were coached by Bob Hurley!

5. He played PG at UCLA under Steve Alford!

To me, this is such a contrast to DLo, who never played PG growing up, and only started playing the position when his Ohio State coach demanded it. It feels like SloMo couldn’t have had a better background to play more PG, both the smarts and the skills.

In Towns and JMac absence, Kyle Anderson has been really a difference maker in offense. Everyone praise point Edwards, but in my opinion Edwards can play PG better if Anderson helps him.

I think we may need to evaluate trying to get him into the starting lineup. I'm not sure if it's possible, but I'd like to see it.

It'd be crazy to play Gobert-Towns-Anderson-MCD-Ant lineup, but I absolutely love this idea!

Strangely, that's the only lineup that makes any sense remotely.

Agree with all of this. This is the only way.

Once KAT and Rudy come back, DLo and Prince first off the bench would be awesome.

Slo-Mo must start.

I completely forgot that he was in the same draft as another UCLA wing who we drafted 13th overall.

Honestly, I love having him in the lineup. It might be unconventional, but I'd be fine having him as our starter going forward with Rudy and Karl and the youngsters.

Yeah, unless there’s a trade for a better playmaking PG or his shooting falls off, SloMo should start with Ant, Jaden, KAT, and Rudy. The only way Russell works in the lineup over him is if him and/or Ant give a more consistent effort on defense. Honestly McLaughlin, Moore, and Rivers would all be better options than Russell too just from a fit perspective. But I’m very down on Russell and am ready for him to be traded.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

The most surprising thing for me so far about SloMo has been his playmaking. I didn't know he was this good of a playmaker

Can anyone clarify whether we can already re-sign Anderson?

Let me explain: Anderson has 18mil/2yrs contract. Can we somehow re-structure his contract using 1-2mil "saved" after DLo trade? I mean Indiana extended Myles Turner in very interesting way. Can Gupta use some creative approach here?

No. We can’t extend Anderson’s contract because he’s in his first year, and we can’t restructure current contracts because our team payroll is over the salary cap.

Thank you! Let me re-phrase, can we extend Anderson right AFTER this season?

No. He’s under contract for next year, with no team option or player option. Contracts can’t be renegotiated unless a team is under the cap. Contracts can only be extended after the second anniversary of when the deal is signed.

BTW, we will get early Bird rights on Anderson after next season, so we wouldn’t need to touch the MLE. However, when we are so far into the lux, there is no guarantee we will even use it.
