If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

I really think sports fans would be better, more educated individuals if they stopped watching these stupid, brain-numbing talk shows.

Sick of fake apologies just to save your job. The serious look into the camera followed by a bunch of sappy stuff just makes my skin crawl

Honestly was this THAT big of a deal? People are just afraid of cancel culture

I don't always watch Undisputed, but when I do, I press the mute button.

nobody is coming for his job, he just wanted to apologize. Thats the positive side of southern black baptist culture. His family would probably crucify him if he didnt do this. Hes talkeed a lot of his mom preaching respect and apologizing when you do something wrong. Totally within his character.

I think this is a fully reasonably apology to give.

I hope regular NBA fans can now point to this when they are getting tossed out of arenas for yelling “Westbrick” while a celebrity tv personality gets away with picking a fight with an entire NBA team

Naw man the network heads absolutely directed him to do this.

Not buying this at all. They made Skip do the same thing recently as well. I'm sorry, but any time a person comes on camera and apologizes like this, it doesn't look genuine. I don't even think he should apologize and I don't think he does either

Nothing but respect for this statement by Shannon Sharpe. We need more personal accountability like what Mr. Sharpe has shown today from our leaders, politicians, stars, etc.

And this points out an important truth, when you sincerely apologize you are not diminished in any way.

skip just apologized for the stupid tweet about that hamlin kid and he didnt sound nearly as apologetic and didnt accept responsibility in the way sharpe did. He's not some stubborn guy. the liquor wore off and he realized he was arguing with guys ranging from 22-27. thats embarassing.

I thought it was a good apology.

If you want sappy and skin-crawly looks into the camera, just wait until you see this!

They can, but it won't matter.

The regular fan doesn't have a show that...well, I don't know why, but a show that thousands of people watch a day. The regular fan has no recourse when they act like this. The regular fan might be able to put something on Facebook or Twitter defending their story, but that's it.

Meanwhile, the NBA gets to treat the regular fan like crap and any wuss ass primadonna player can get one kicked out because, well, because there's not much consequence to it. The player will claim the fan said something awful (usually under the guise of "it was so awful I'm not going to repeat it"), and then other people will instantly side with the player, speculate the about the awful thing, and bam, the NBA has nothing to worry about.

Such is life. The NBA and the wuss ass primadonna players are the group with all the power here for the average joe. Now, with a Shannon Sharpe? They have less power, because he can go on tv five days a week and blast the NBA if he wants. And people will listen.

Shannon is a real one. In todays social media driven and political atmosphere where people are encouraged to never apologize or held accountable, Sharpe is an example of a real human being. He didn’t equivocate, he didn’t pursue whataboutism, he owned his behavior and genuinely apologized.

Skip should take notes.

I've seen Shannon go ape piss at Skip, he takes himself too seriously for sure and is probably a maniac at home.... so I doubt his outburst was "out of character".

Real aplpogy and accoutability, respect to Sharpe for being the bigger person, unlike the clown he shares the platform with.
