My only Death Cab knowledge is from the OC and a girl I briefly dated who I thought had great music taste because she also liked Straylight Run but was disappointed to find out she didn't because she liked Death Cab :(

Now listening to Straylight's first album again. In the parlance of the youths (I think), there are no skips.

Ok, since we're sharing, this is my favorite Death Cab West of Transatanticism.

But what about The Postal Service (who are touring with Death Cab this summer in support of the 20th anniversary of Transatlanticism and Give Up)? Got my tix for a show at the Greek!

I concede to be jealous, jealous, jealous, dear boy. At the moment that tour isn't coming to Australasia, not sure if it's actually leaving North America. To be fair it'd be a fair whack for Ben just to cover the dates they've listed (although he's clearly built up the fitness for it over the years).

The Postal Service! I knew there was another band from that era I couldn't stand. :D

I'm 100% serious but also very much joking. The stuff I like is mocked and I'm good with it. Same with the stuff back then. When I think back on what I put my roommates through I cringe. I'm a big proponent of love what you love but holy god they had to listen to some ****.

Everything about this is fair.

The ____ goes Punk Records...my whole floor had to listen to Guttermouth and Ten Foot Pole so much and it was only because I had speakers that would break windows. On the other hand they had to listen to nascent AFI, Ataris, Strung Out, and Diesel Boy. So who's to say who had it worst?

I'd like to see the production credits on this album.

This song is like, it. Being seen is just so important. And searching. Like Royal said, “You’re true blue Ethel.”

“I can’t hide from you like I hide from myself.”

90% of the time I don't love artists re-recording older stuff, but I love Thrice's 20 year anniversary re-release of The Artist in the Ambulance. Dustin's vocal style has changed a huge amount. He sounds gravelly and he doesn't scream like he used to. But for this album it adds a different kind of sound. I like it.
