Sacramento's offence
They are right now comfortably leading the league in points per game.
Let's be honest, who saw that coming?

Mike Brown learned a lot when he was an assistant with the warriors!

118.5 Ortg, right there with Denver who has a 118.4 Ortg. The efficient big man passer seems to be a nice correlation here

Isn't this, like, the 15th topic on Sac's offense in, like, the last 10 days...?

The forum moves a mile a minute, how am I supposed to actually see a another topic like this when if that thread exists it's buried 5 pages back.
Also I checked and I don't see another topic about Sac's offence as a team. If you're going to make that claim, back it up.

It really has been a team effort getting the offense into place. Brown, Jordi Fernández and Jay Triano are the architects.
Triano I think ran the Charlotte offense and Fernandez was an assistant in Denver. You mix all these things together (Golden State, Denver, Charlotte) and you can see how it has transformed the Kings.
IMO Fernandez won't last long in Sacramento, someone will give him a crack at head coach, he is good enough and deserves an opportunity.

I was going to say any defensive co-ordinator because we're not there yet defensively. Well the starting unit isn't bad, but the bench is out of control poor.

WelL they’re very vulnerable to switching with the type of offense they play.

Re: Sacramento's offence
I am a huge Sabonis fan (father and son) and at the time I didn't think it was a bad trade (although I would have tried harder to trade fox being 100% honest) and it is the rare trade that both teams really filled needs IMHO. It made sense although the narrative was Indy robbed Sacto blind... yet they had a glut of talent and needed a front court help and as I said I love Sabonis. They balanced the team with assets and it is paying off. I thought the trade made sense and tbh for both teams it really did and still does.

Re: Sacramento's offence
Mike Brown has really grown as a coach and has been phenomenal along with Monte, our GM. Im a huge Kings homer and never would have predicted this the defense is slightly better but still horrendous. When we make strides on that end, noise can definitely be made in the playoffs one day. Should be fun!
I don't want us to make any hasty moves any time soon.

Dude they miss the Playoffs for 16 straight years, I don't mind if this is the 16th topic regarding Kings. With all that suffering in their fanbase for almost 2 decades, maybe they deserve to get some praise. Having said that, they're just 4.5 games ahead of 11th seed with 36 games left. I expect their annual mid-season losing streak that might jeopardize their playoffs or even play-in berth. Nothing is certain and I expect the worse but hoping they will make it in the Playoffs.

Re: Sacramento's offence
i'm truly happy for them. the franchise has been the joke of the league for the last ~15 years so them finally winning again must be an awesome feeling for the team/fans. i know they gave up a good player in haliburton but it's paying off so far.
they're "only" 7-3 in the last 10 games but they have the best net rating in that stretch and by far the best offensive rating.

Win a play-off series or it’s all for nothing.
There’s always these amazing young offensive teams that fail in the play-offs

Re: Sacramento's offence
I didn't think they would be third in the west, but I said all along that Sabonis/Fox pick and roll, Sabonis's passing, and a defensive minded coach were all ingredients for a better team than people were predicting.
