Two Wizards greats. Who's got the better peak/career?

My instinct is to say Arenas who was really ahead of his time in terms of 3 pt shot volume.

Gilbert Arenas from ‘05-‘07 put up (per 75):

• 26.1 points
• 4.0 rebounds
• 5.4 assists
• 1.8 steals
• 2.5 3PM on 6.8 3PAs
• 57.0 TS% (+3.5 rTS%)

Per the old BPM, he actually lead the entire league in O-BPM in 2007.

Agent Zero was the man. Strickland was awesome as well, having one of the great handles ever.

I wouldn't call Strickland a Wizard great. He was a guy with good stats who didn't seem to help the team win much despite some talent up front in Chris Webber, Juwan Howard, etc. He didn't like to push the ball, tended to overdribble, was not a good locker room guy, and not an effort guy on defense. On the other hand, he had good size, strength, and athleticism, an explosive first step, and was a good finisher. On the whole, probably an above average PG through his peak but never "great."

Arenas was a serious level up at his peak. He stretched the floor far more, was far more of a scorer, and it's pick em between Arenas and Strickland for running your offense, playmaking, and defense. His career was only about half the length of Strickland's though so career is a tougher call. I still lean Arenas because I think at his best he was a difference maker; I don't think Strickland was.

Arenas had a crazy good first step with the big frame that allowed him to force contact to draw a lot of fouls. Obviously could bomb from long-range, something that wasn't Strickland's game. Strickland was definitely a better distributor, but I'll take Arenas for sure in the comparison. Overall better offensive player. Neither one is a plus defender.
