No PL matches today just FA Cup. There were a couple changes to both sides lineups tonight. Not really a priority match for either side.

What is going on at Chelsea? Does the new owner propose a rule change to play 22 vs 22 next?
Play with 3 balls at the same time?

He got two quickly after for another two reckless challenges and was sent off eventually but wtf...

Watching Derby vs. West Ham in the cup, and I can't believe Curtis Davies is still playing football.

So are we all worried about Chelsea short and long term? They're buying young and talented players no doubt but if they're not good on these death row contracts does it backfire? They have an insanely packed squad right now lol. Is boehly going to be this wild all the time or will it cool down? Lord knows

Chelsea most needed strikers but only signed ppl in other positions to very long contracts. The loanee striker they brought in is probably overpriced and risky, so short term they'll improve but are unlikely to impress. Long term is tough to predict because we don't know if the new owners are competent squad builders. So far the squad makes very little sense and this feels like Glazers Utd part 2.

The 33+ club and a few others in the squad probably understand they're out of the club from the summer, so it will be interesting to see how committed they are to the turnaround.

Seems like Lukaku, Pulisic, Koulibaly, Gallagher, Kovacic and possibly Kante will be the ones sold from Chelsea in the future.

Potter has a huge task ahead of him so it’ll be interesting how this plays out

Honestly, I don't know. Their situation looks difficult, but every time I doubt Chelsea it feels like they rebound strong and win something big like the league or CL within a year or two. I'm reluctant to show any strong predilection either way, on that basis.

He really does. He is an excellent coach but now he'll need to be an ego manager extraordinaire (like José) in order to get Chelsea back to winning titles.

It's going to be really interesting to see who he adds to the CL squad - he's only allowed to add 3 players - and what effect that has on the many new players who are not included as well as the 3 who are dropped.

Dropped Auba (and Jorginho). Added Enzo, Mudryk, and Felix. Nothing too surprising there, except maybe Felix over Badiashile.
It's time for 5 refs.

If I were Badiashile, Madueke, Santos, Fofana and Auba. I'd be unhappy.

I imagine everyone except Auba is excited about their new purchasing power, but who knows what they were promised when they signed.

Kind of a cheap shot -- Chelsea should have won and have obviously only begun integrating all their new players -- but it's funny so...

I am not sure if Graham Potter is the best manager for this team. He is a good coach for a mid-table team, but this team might be too much for him. Going from Tuchel to Potter seems like a massive downgrade, which is reflected in the standings.

The sad part is that English coaches didn't have much success with the big clubs in the last 2 decades(Sir Alex is Scottish), so they don't get too many chances these days. Potter failing might make things worse. Maybe Eddie Howe will break the "curse".

But Chelsea is a mid-table team!

Chelsea were 6th when Tuchel was sacked, which is better than 9th, but they had already lost to Leeds and Southampton. Not exactly lighting the world on fire.

Honestly man even after all that expenditure Chelsea still don't have too many good players. Half the squad know their goners and the other half don't even know if they're good enough for Chelsea. It's random.

Seen this on twitter and couldn't stop laughing. It's a mess there they'll need to gut the squad before some progress can be made.

Well that's complete, uneducated tosh from start to finish.
