Some Cs I wouldn't mind giving a ten day too: WCS, Ed Davis, Tille, Oturu (yes yes I know), Marquees Chriss, Jordan Bell.

None are answers, but again, just a ten day.

I think Clips shore up the PG spot, if anything, at the deadline, not the backup five.

Bucks just lost Bobby Portis to an MCL injury. Could they be interested in acquiring Mook in a 3 team trade where we land Conley ?

Can the Clippers trade the Serge Ibaka trade exception for Hartenstein? Not sure how that works.

The trade exception is 9.7 million
Hartenstein makes 7.8 million

Yeah we can

We can. TPE + 2nd rounder would be all I would give up for Hartenstein though.
I don't think we'll get that deal done until the trade deadline though. Mitchell Robinson is out with broken thumb for the Knicks with return expected after allstar break.

i mean I'd give up more than that. he fills a major need this team has and imo is one step to making us whole, if not the step

Dang it, M. Robinson is injured again. That complicates things.

Saw we have interest in D'Angelo Russell. Hope not he hasn't been impressive the last few seasons and was a complete liability in last years playoffs.

yeah i think DAR would not be a good pickup. what's this team's obsession with small guards who love to shoot but can't guard a chair?

I am no fan of DLo either, but I will admit that he has been much better lately. He’s been 50/40/90 since December 1, and actually has been hustling on defense. Maybe he just wants to get paid, but it also coincides with him playing more off the ball, as they let Ant do a larger portion of the playmaking. I can understand the front office’s interest since the concept of him fits, at least offensively, as a vet that can run an offense when you need it, but also can be a valuable offball shooter and scorer when you want to put the ball in PG’s hands. Russell isn’t small either - he’s 6’4” - but you’re right, his defense is bad. A DLo + Naz Reid package would be helpful to LAC, and MIN is a motivated seller, since it’s unlikely they will re-sign either.

Many people start out thinking of the TPE as an asset, like a contract that a team can trade. It may be easier for you to conceptualize it as part of an uncompleted trade, which allows a team to absorb a contract up to the level of the TPE.

The other posters are correct, a $9.7 TPE would allow the Clippers to legally absorb the $7.8 mil Hartenstein. It would also leave a $1.9 mil TPE. The question might be practicality, since adding $7.8 mil would likely cost Steve Ballmer $35 mil in real dollars with the highest level of the luxury tax. Hartenstein would certainly be worth $7.8 mil to the Clippers, but is he worth $35? Maybe to Ballmer?

How do you guys feel about getting Dwight Howard on the cheap just for Jokic insurance?

I could believe RoCo needing some personal time, if I'm not mistaken, didn't he post something about staying off social media and stuff like that this past off season, and I have seen a few ads with him talking about getting mental health help.

Though, concurrently, his salary is absolutely what makes the most sense in a trade. Let's see what the next day or so holds.

Stealing the find for the T&T forum.

I would be really sad to see him go, of course let's see what would get in return.

If RoCo was 3 inches taller he'd be perfect...but also probably not available as a throw-in in the Blazers trade.
