New Orleans (Jazz) traded, what ended up being the #1 pick, to the Lakers in 1979.

Will the Lakers return the favour in 2023?

Naw, Lakers will be in the playoffs to make it irrelevant. Despite their current record. The west is so wide open from 5th-10th seed that they will make it somewhere there.

I’m gonna make an early hot take prediction and say the Warriors will decide to tank the rest of the season and land the 1st pick to land Victor. Causing a huge uproar everywhere in the fan base.

Nah it’s over 121 to 107

Clippers go on a 15-0 run right after this, and eventually win the game.

How much you want to put on that? If nothing, then please retract it. Throwing it random takes that you have no faith in isn’t making ‘predictions,’ it’s just bad boring talk that incentives people to be FOS.

Last game : 31 points (12/28 FG : 3/9 3PT : 4/6 FT); 14 rebounds, 5 blocks. His team lost tho. As most young players, he is not really efficient yet, but capability on the court is insane.

He's inconsistent which is normal, but the things he's shown far exceed what I was expecting from him. He has a low and mid post game, which is the biggest surprise to me. Usually when big guys like to play outside they abandon interior play, sort of like Bol Bol who is really just a gigantic SF in how he plays, where as Wemby looks like inside/outside big.

This Victor guy looks soft to me. Like he's gonna get bullied in the NBA.

The only EURO bigs that never got bullied in the NBA are ones that came from the Balkans. Anyone notice that?

Put some respect on my Lithuanian guys.

Victor can be pushed around with ease, but he is just too long, man. Ante Zizic, who is reminisent of Pekovic, pushed VIctor around in the post, but still gets stuffed by Victor while laying it in. Victor just need to stay on his feet, and he is 7'5 with 8 foot wingspan.

Dirk, Pau, M.Gasol, Gobert, Giannis, A. Sabonis, D. Sabonis, Valanciunas, Ilgauskas, Capela,...

Look. Nearly everybody gets bullied when they are new to the league. But to argue that every non-balkan-player is soft is point b lank stupid. Players like Dirk and Pau didn`t got bullied in their first years - they just didn`t played to their potential.

Prime Victor will be a walking triple double and a threat for quadruple doubles. I anticipate he'll be 22/14/6 with 4 blocks...assuming he stays healthy, puts on (lean) weight and retains his athleticism. You trade anyone and anything to get him, even Luka IMO.

Posts like this are not aging well. Lakers are only 2.5 GB from pelicans. If Pelicans lose 2 in a row and lakers win 2 in a row, theyll be virtually tied

So are you suggesting that Pels might actually get Wemby and Scoot!?

Scoot
CJ
Ingram
Zion
Vic

THAT WOULD BE SOMETHING
