I’m starting to think the goals of this organisation do not include being a championship contender.

it's not. their goal is to make as much money as possible for the parent organization (Monumental Sports). Being a chip contender is a nice-to-have but not necessarily a goal.

Anyway, nice game from Gaff and Deni, although Deni was getting worked on defense a little bit.

Don't know what's going on with Ingram, but he looks a step slow and a he's not elevating on his shots as much. He looks injured.

Of course, they are getting hot against bad teams or teams with injured players. But I give Gafford a lot of credit for taking advantage of Valanciunas getting thrown out. He just dominated the paint. Deni is still a jumper away from being a very good starter, but he is really starting to turn a corner with his touch around the basket. I think Wes is using him wisely now along with Nunn, who at least can stroke it.

On a night when Kuzma went 4 for 13 and Beal was horrible until the last few minutes and with no KP, the fact that they won with 44 points from the bench on the road was pretty damn impressive.

Everyone's **** on Beal but he finished with +14 same as Deni to tie for top. Good game from the crew. Gafford had a massive game. Deni killed it. I am gonna be optimistic about this team. Nunn playing pretty ok as a third guard.

Yeah, this was a very good win. New Orleans was playing some very tough defense, but the Wizards found a win to win ugly on the road when Kuzma and Beal were having terrible nights and Porzingis was out.

Beal had an absolutely dreadful night statistically, but when the game was on the line late in the 4th quarter, he scored on 4 out of 5 possessions, including a 3-pointer and an and-1. Those clutch plays blew the game back open after New Orleans had cut the lead to 5.

Gafford was a beast. Gibson and Avdija did the dirty work on defense and scored more points than expected. Kispert knocked down the shots when he had them.

Very fortunate NO took Herb Jones out of the game. Beal couldn’t get off a shot, except on a switch. Jones replaced by Murphy and Beal starts scoring. That was the turning point.

During crunch time, they kept having Morris set the screen to get the switch so that Alvarez was guarding Beal. Beal would then bully Alvarez.

Unfortunate for NO they only have smallish PGs, so once there was a switch Beal had his way. Jones was up in Beal’s face soon as he crossed half court. Only got the switch once as I recall late in the game, when Jones was in.
It was tough defense that brought NO back, and then they took out their best defender.
