This team is pretty much guaranteed to finish with a bottom 7 record.

That's good enough for me.

Plenty of intriguing prospects in our range.
In Masai We Trust :meditate:

134m is projected for next season. This is wrong.
Best guy for cap stuff is blake. He did it last week

I'm always a bit confused with the NBA cap and what players are worth.

Does this mean we could resign everyone, but we'd be up against the cap and it'd be really hard to sign anyone else or improve the bench?

I think there are legit reasons, if we signed everybody, the Raps would become a really good team. Mainly, that we are young, and our players would develop. Scottie, Gary, Precious getting better would raise our ceiling significantly, IMO. And our 1st this year. But I also don't think they would raise our ceiling to being a contender.

We can definitely resign everyone. That’s not the issue. The issue is going into the luxury tax. Teams are more open to pay the tax when they feel they have a title window. Management essentially has to decide now which pieces are most key to becoming a title contender.

Nba is a soft cap league. We could sign everyone and go over the cap because we have their bird rights. Problem is the luxury tax which we will be in if we brought all these guys back plus siakam and og then barnes/achiuwa. You only want to pay the tax if you have a contending team (usually) which we are not. Plus we have a balance issue on this roster. So decisions have to be made within the next 6 months.

Let’s say we trade Trent to the Knicks for Fournier, Dallas’23, Washington’23.

Then Pascal to Wiz for Porzingis, Deni and all picks and swaps unprotected.
Possible Fred to Dallas trade to follow with additional picks and Green maybe

Lineup without FVV trade

Porzingis
Precious
Barnes
OG
Fred

If we get Wemby you let Porzingis walk and have cap to restructure OG’s deal.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Okay so we should expect Grange to go the ‘full Devlin’ with regards to Fred in the coming days. Media reporting on their bosses is so illuminating.

I'm being bias here, but I'd be delighted if we were to have Poetl; I genuinely miss the synergy he had with Pascal.

The optics are enough though, them sitting in the crowd.

I thought that Kuminga was being showcased for them

Kuminga/Wiseman/Moody for Fred

If we're continuing with the longbois experiment, this would give us another potential OG, a high-risk, high-reward C, and a lottery ticket prospect

Do you mean after a trade? They're 2.5 wins back from missing the lottery right now, with a soft remaining schedule. Standings are packed

They could vault past like 5 teams with a single win on an unfortunate night. I expect a lot of panic on here soon but I have faith in the end we’ll find a way to be where we want in the end.

I would love that but don't think they do it for Fred especially as an expiring and expecting a big pay day that puts them further into the tax. If they like Gary better, then Kuminga + Wiseman for Gary works too.
