One more to go. Then we can start a new SB champion thread. They got to clean up the offense a lot. That type of performance won't fly against either of the AFC teams. Hurts has to be a dual threat. He threw like **** today. Bailed out by the 49ers committing 75 stupid penalties and having no QB who could throw.

Crazy game today...I live in Oakland right now, but I'm not really connecting with the bay area teams.

I went to the university of Alabama so I love Jalen and to see him make this level of turn around is awww inspiring. Love that guy, and I really want him to pull it off. So, we've been partying all day out here, while friends of mine weep

Soooo....Union lost MLS finals. Phillies lost MLS World Series. And we already know that Andy Reid will kick our ass.
Fortunately the Sixers can't reach the second round in the post season.

Reed is the Doc Rivers of football, or vice-versa. Both guys specialize in doing less with more, winning a ton of regular season games before folding in the playoffs, are stubborn to a fault, are loved by most of their players, being mediocre game day coaches who are known for crucial in-game mistakes in the biggest spots, and living off one championship despite having enough talented teams that they could easily have 3-4 titles each.

I don't know man, I'm a Dolphins fan for football, but I'm from Allentown and grew up with the Eagles on ever Sunday dating way back to Randall Cunningham. I can objectively say that this is the best Eagles football team I have seen fielded since the early 90s team that had that crazy defense with Joyner, Jerome Brown, White, Simmons, and Eric Allen. I personally think they're going to bring it home. They're going to beat Kansas City.

This is a really good team, but the difference between now and the late '80's/early '90's, as well as the time around the Vermeil teams, is the quality of play league wide, which is atrocious. I've never seen a time like the last several years where there aren't any great teams at all. The talent is spread so wide now that Rozelle's dream of parity has come to fruition, and brought with it mediocrity. The era of truly great teams ended with those early '90's Cowboys and 49ers, and we'll never see defenses like the Buddy Ryan Bears and Eagles units again.

Because of the constant movement of players every year, solid units like OL's and defenses don't stay together for years the way they did pre-free agency to create cohesion, and that, along with the awful officiating of games and rules on top of rules, has created what I refer to as an over-litigated mess with spectacular plays here and there.

This Eagles team is good, but who did they have to beat to get to the Super Bowl? I've never seen the NFC this bad, ever. KC is good also, but has a defense that can be exploited and they have Reid, so I like the Eagles to win as well.

Also injuries. More than ever players are getting injured and it's hard to maintain continuity. Probably because the 300+lb DL are getting faster and stronger.
