I've been pounding the table for Chris Boucher, but he's probably not available. KJ Martin is a bit on the short side, but he's extremely active and athletic. Bringing Richaun Holmes back should be an option. Mo Bamba is available as well. I love Bol Bol, but I doubt Orlando is looking to deal him. But.... Ideally a player like Chris Boucher would be my top choice. Paul Reed would be the in house option, but he can't stretch the floor the way Boucher can.
Knowing Masai, he'll probably want 5 unprotected firsts for Boucher especially from a division rival.
Yeah, I think it's definitely a pipe dream trying to acquire Boucher. He's just ideally the perfect fit in my opinion. I think Morey is going to find someone that all of us have overlooked. Nobody mentioned trading for D'anthony Melton last year and if they did, I didn't see it and I apologize. I do think Morey has a list made up and he go down that list and try to acquire one of those names. People keep mentioning Drummond...I would be fine with that. He would certainly help us in the rebounding department. He made plays for us last year, I like him. I just prefer someone a little more athletic/versatile that can guard on switches because that is all the NBA is anymore defensively. It's harder to find a mismatch on the floor when you have a player that can defend the way Boucher can, or a Bol Bol for that matter. On top of that, they can stretch the floor for us which means they are playable with Embiid which is even better. I still have faith in Paul Reed, but he's going to have to improve his shooting from outside for it to work. Trey Lyles is another name I came up with, but he's not quite the defensive player you would want him to be. He is a stretch 4 though. We'll see...I'm sure Morey will get us someone. I'll settle for Drummond, I like Zach Collins, Bruno Fernando. I really like Boucher, and KJ Martin.
