I like both Stroud & Richardson.

Richardson can't play right away. But he can sit behind Geno.

I don't love the LB's in this class if I'm being honest.

What's not to like about this guy in the 3rd or 4th?- violent, sure tackler, gets to the QB, has the ability to cover with good hands, and 6'5" 240

The 3rd-4th Round would make a ton of sense.

Witherspoon is someone I like at 20. He has the best tape among all the CB's. His stock will keep rising. So I'm doubtful that he'll last that long.

would be a great slot guy for us and obviously he destroys people when he gets a shot at them. Weirdly fierce for that size

If we Franchise I think a QB is really in play in the draft, or... it will send that signal so hard that more than one team moves up to grab a QB and we either benefit from the ransom or from having one of Anderson or Carter drop to us.

I'm not entirely sure what to make of Lukas Van Ness (DL-Iowa). His numbers are very good & PFF loves the guy.

I've seen him mocked all over the place.

Was thinking the same... his size is similar to Murphy, numbers were good...

Which draft simulator are you using?

Where are you on Anthony Richardson? In or Out?

I think he'd be a consideration at 20.

Listened to a lot of O'Line seahawks stuff and the interesting thing about Gabe Jackson and the perception he wasn't a fit was several people like Rob Rang feel like Gabe and O'cyrus are the kind of right guard they want, however Jackson just got old quicker than they thought. I mean they did trade for him, it wasn't even a cheap fa signing.

Richardson is polarizing and so unless cards really found him still there early second and we had scored some great picks in the first that moved the D-Line needle, I'd prefer to wait longer and see if Hendon Hooker isn't there. I get it, Hendon isn't a burly Cam Newton style runner (or even maybe better), but he's a heady Sr with the right size and makeup.

I'm also not a "hell no" on Richardson. just think we have bigger fish to fry and it would have to be a wow value pick later.

Big Board:

1. Jalen Carter
2. Will Anderson
3. Bryce Young
4. CJ Stroud
5. Tyree Wilson
6. Myles Murphy
7. Trenton Simpson (Brooks injury)
8. O'Cyrus Torrence
9. Brian Branch
10. Quentin Johnston
11. Siaki Ika
12. John Michael Schmitz
13. Bryan Bresee
14. Sewell/Sanders
15. Anthony Richardson

I have Ika on there and I hadn't previously realized that Shelby Harris gets star money next year, so with 36 yr old Al Woods, maybe never playing again Mone, and bad fit as 3-4 Nose Tackle Poona, I just think a Ika or Mazzy Smith later are really a must.

Sanders is better in space than Sewell but Noah is a run destroying LB.

I also think there are 3-4 centers in this class but...

... and i don't buy this team doesn't like big guards, especially after hearing that explored by both Field Goals and Locked on. I think Torrence at play at 20. JMS might force his way into the first though.

Danny Darko wrote:1. Jalen Carter

What do you make of this?

Team sources have told WalterFootball.com that Carter comes with make-up concerns. Sources from multiple NFL teams said Carter is not a hard worker and has a reputation for not loving football.

It is not uncommon with prospects who are supremely talented to fail to be hard workers. They are so physically gifted that things have come easy, so they never had to work exceptionally hard to be elite at college level. However, that changes in the NFL, where teams want players who have a good work ethic and love to play football. Carter has developed a reputation of not being a worker or loving football, so that could rub some franchises the wrong way picking high in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Carter looks like a top-10 pick, and he could be one of the first non-quarterbacks taken. Carter is one of the most talented players in the draft class, but NFL teams did not give him an elite grade because of the work-ethic concerns and lack of production. If he slides to the back half of the top 10, the makeup concerns will be the reason.
