I'm sure they've always been rigged but sports these days seem particularly rigged since the 00s. Almost every single big game or series has obvious b.s. that dictates the winning team in all sports.

So well done. Here is an old press release that shows how much influence Purdue had, especially at the oldest and most respected institutions.

Last night’s ‘Last of Us’ is a prime example of a show being woke and agenda driven but brilliant. That was HBO at its finest.

Poker Face on Peacock is fun. It's about a regular gal who has a gift for detecting when people are lying and she keeps getting caught up solving little murder mysteries wherever she goes. Each episode is a like a "mystery of the week" type thing with a completely new supporting cast (lots of cameos from known actors), so you can just throw an episode on when you have an hour and don't really have to worry about binging the whole series at once. Nothing heavy, just good and entertaining. Clever and witty.

Reminds me of Veronica Mars, Bored to Death, The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, etc. Fun show! Would still recommend watching in order 'cos of the case that involves her. Otherwise, you'd go "what the hell has Benjamin Brett got to do with anything?!" Lol.
EDIT: It's a show by Rian Johnson so if you're a fan of his work, this is a must-watch.

I watched the 1st 3 episodes. The 3rd one with the bbq guy going vegan cracked me up.

More specifically, this is Neil Druckmann the co-president of Naughty Dog gaming developers. The series is an adaptation of the game. Druckmann's artistic influence on the game is based in large part of his world view, his experiences, whether you agree with it or not.
Doesn't take away from the brilliance of the series, it's really good no matter what side of the fence you're on.

I love how the episode added context and fully-fleshed out the story of Frank and Bill. They changed a few things but nothing that I thought wasn't in the spirit of the characters or the game. I mean, Bill was gay. Not a secret. You're probably gonna hate when they do the Left Behind DLC episode then I bet.

didn't I just say I loved it? So why would I hate the DLC? Did I say anything about gay or lesbian? Do you assume I'm against that?

Episode 3 of The Last Of Us….
My first thoughts were “oh boy here comes another ‘woke’ agenda in unnecessary setting”, but it was incredibly emotional and vey well done. Again, I’ve got zero familiarity with the story of the game, but the episode was unexpected and told an entire story in about an hour which is impressive. I laughed a little too hard during “Ron Swanson giggle” of the strawberry scene, but glad they included it. This is the affection I’m used to seeing Nick Offerman show to another man though…

I know the game well and despite knowing that Bill is a gay man, this episode came as a surprise. The biggest surprise being is how much they invested in this back story, that in my opinion was completely unnecessary. In the game there was literally one reference to him being a gay person, when Joel and Ellie basically stole his truck and found male nudes magazines in the truck. That's it.
I just assumed they were going to take some liberties, especially with Neil Druckmann now having the vehicle to further expand on his world view. It's going to be interesting to see if it ultimately ruins the series , or makes it even better. I'm pretty sensitive to indoctrination, I don't care for having any sort of views forced on me, left, right, or in the middle. Hopefully Druckmann won't go heavy on the politics moving forward. After all it was only supposed to be a video game adaptation.

I loved that they provided all this context to Bill even if it's not necessary because that's the whole point of long form tv shows after all, to flesh out characters and world build. I actually cried a couple of times during the episode even though he stole some of the beats from 'Moonlight' What I didn't like was how Druckman can't help himself and leave politics out of it. The inference is that all Qanon/conspiracy theorist, gun rights conservatives/preppers are closeted homosexual incels that just haven't met the right liberal man to save him and allow him to be his true self! And yes, this is 100% what is going through Druckman's head when creating this episode. No Neil, I know that's what you and your ilk who post on resetera and r/politcs believe but it's not reality.

Started Georgia and Ginny. On episode 4 so far. My wife loves it and it is pretty funny/quirky and somewhat dark.

why would the small market Bills be the team the NFL wants in the SB? What we're getting is Andy Reid going against his old team, the large market Eagles. Perfect story line.

Any Andy Reid-based storyline does absolutely nothing for me, in fact I'm unlikely to watch it.
I would've watched the Bills against anybody, for multiple reasons.

The NFL is secretly invested in the historical preservation of folding tables… thus the Bills are out.
