I suggested Hart 4 Achiuwa and Birch before the season started and got flamed for it...maybe everyone can see why I was so interested now.

One can only hope, this roster construction is awful, lack of bigs and small guards who are lousy at D, how long will it take them to realize Dame/Any is little different than Dame CJ, I prefer a blow up but at least do something

Reading wiretap that VanVleet and Trent Jr may both be available. If that's the case, let's send Simon's there as part of their new backcourt and they can send us one of their forwards. Nurk & Simon's to Toronto for Siakam. Would need to figure out a way to free up a draft pick or two, depending on who we get in return. Need to turn Hart into a center. Don't have a clue who that would be.

Not sure how you get from "Toronto open to moving FVV and GTJ" to "Lets give them Nurkic and Ant for Pascal".

That puts them with a horrible backcourt pairing in FVV + Ant and a middling overpaid plodding C for a likely 2nd team All NBA do-it-all forward. I just cant imagine them even picking the phone up for that deal.

Any Pascal trade starts with Sharpe and ends with multiple FRP. Anything else is just salary ballast IMO.

I dont think Nurkic has a market and I would assume the lack of development this yet w/ Simons would put most teams in the ballpark of seeing him as a super-6th man type or, in an ideal scenario, a high volume 3PT gunner sandwiched between 2 good defenders at PG and SF - ideally w/ the PG being tall enough to guard SG. OKC might be a fit, but I dont think they would move Dort and picks for him.

The backcourt would not be FVV and Simons if they trade FVV. They wouldn't be interested in Simons if they keep FVV.

They dont have a center at this point and have Pascal playing center. That's my thinking for including Nurkic.

That's how I get to Simons and Nurkic. It's not a great deal and needs more value and draft picks, which was why I said they need to figure that out.

I'm not a fan of trading Sharpe unless we could land Siakam AND Ananoby. I know, that won't happen, but I can dream!
