I guess the Suns could have an interesting package if we get unprotected picks in the future.

New Orleans can obviously make the best offer, and Memphis has some interesting pieces too.

Loll never said it was factual but it is weird to have your coach saying something stupid like that about a guy who's been involved in constant trade rumours the whole season. Seems like it highlighted the disconnect between the coach and management, which is what most kf us have been seeing the past 1.5 seasons lol.

I wouldn't say he's mediocre. He's one of the best volume 3PT shooters in the league and a decent defender. Those types of players are valuable because they're portable. He also is limited just enough that no one will throw a bag at him this summer. I would want more, too, but the picks give you upside.

Suns, Grizzlies and Pelicans seem like the most likely candidates. They have the need and the assets to get it done. Grizzlies and Pelicans can offer the better rebuilding package where as Ayton would be a good "win-now" piece if we want to roll with the existing core.

If they're moving him, It's because he wants out in which case, good riddance. He clearly has an inflated opinion of his offensive game. Let some other team let him turn it over in the post 5-7 times every game.

Also, If they're moving on from OG I'm guessing the fire sale is starting. How much sense does it make to sign Fred to a long term deal this summer?

Thing is Portland's 2023 pick is owed to CHI and lottery protected. Since it may not convey this year, they can't trade any future picks until it does. Removing that protection so it conveys is risky given their record this year.
