Marcus in his bathrobe there?

Haha yeah. That's been his aesthetic for a while now.

Me and Marcus on that same vibe.

Include White in there. +21.7 net rating now when those three are on the floor.

Pritchard can’t shoot for **** right now. He has the worst TS% of all our players who have played at least 200 minutes.

But he’s been an offensive rebounding beast! Of the 64 players under 6’4” (min 15 games played), he’s second in offensive rebounding rate (4.9%) behind Jordan Goodwin. Third is Westbrook.

He has a higher offensive rebounding rate than Horford and Grant lmao.

Good game by Pritchard, actually attacked the rim and finished with confidence a couple times.

Pritch is an animal on the boards. That's why he is always so red-faced after four minutes of court time, he has been busy beasting on the boards.

Weird thing is he got off to a slow start last season (.361 3PT%, .504 TS%), then turned into an early '22-23 season-style flamethrower after the AS break (.473 3PT%, .688 TS%) when the team got super hot.

Hopefully he can do it again.

Somehow I missed or forgot about most of this thread. Read it from the beginning and wow! It did not disappoint. The highs and lows of the takes in these 31 pages was impressive.

I was going to comment on just that. Last night, just as the 3rd quarter was coming to an end, he hustled to pull down two offensive rebounds. Highlight reel stuff, really. It's something that he seems to have a knack for.

It's great/weird. Rebounding is almost his best skill at this point.

Pritchard gets offensive boards because nobody guards him. It's not a skill.

Lots of people don't get guarded and also don't get boards. It's not an amazing skill, but more of a damning with faint praise scenario by calling it his best one.

If you mean that nobody guards him on offense, that's nonsense.

If, more plausibly, you mean nobody boxes him out -- well, that's equally true of lots of other guys who don't grab as many offensive boards.

Just saying Pritchard's offensive boards are not due to skill but because of defensive inattention. That's not a criticism. Just an observation. It's to Pritchard's credit that he's taking advantage of what the defense gives him.

I suspect it's a bit more than just a high level of corner-crashing effort. He also may have some skill at recognizing early where the ball is likely to go.

I thought for a second we got Enes Kanter back. Pritchard has moments where he has been beasting on the offensive boards. Last night, in the 1st half was one of those times.

ET is a funny guy. This made me a bigger fan of Payton, I haven't heard him say much of anything.
I apologize for the things I have said in the past.

Why can’t he be a Seth Curry lite type player? Same size and “lite” because he’s not the shooter Seth is, but before this year a plus shooter and at 40% for his young career. A little better on defense and rebounds and a little more play making too. Is the shooting that much of a difference that he couldn’t make up for it other places?

You're saying Pritchard is better on defense than Seth Curry? No way. Especially not Seth Curry when he was younger and in his prime..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

They’re both bad and let’s not act like Seth was Gary Payton out there ever. Rebounding is part enough of defense that if you want to say they’re equal then ok, but whatever.
