A super complicated deal could be done with four teams, but I am not sure of all the pick considerations because Utah and Toronto will need a few FRPs coming back:

Toronto gets:
Colin Sexton
Kelly Olynyk
Jordan Nwora
Serge Ibaka

Phoenix gets:
Fred VanVleet
OG Anunoby

Milwaukee gets:
Jae Crowder

Utah gets:
Dario Saric
Cam Payne
Cam Johnson
Marjon Beauchamp
Wes Matthews

Toronto gets a potential starting PG and shooting prospect in Nwora, while getting two stretch capable Cs for the short-term.
Phoenix gets what they want without having to give up Ayton.
Bucks get Crowder but lose a couple of middling prospects.
Utah needs a lot of picks coming back, but they don't take on anything long-term other than Payne.

No offense but this may be one of the worst deals I've seen from a Raptors fan lol.

We trade the 2 best players in the entire trade and get scraps. While the Suns get the 2 best players while giving up Cam and scraps lol.

Wow. That is putrid. Definitely one of the worst mock trades I have ever seen. :noway:

Yes, let’s bring in one of the worst rim protector (Ayton) to a team that has no rim protection and have him play 36 min a night instead of giving Koloko the time to develop

EPM -0.3
RAPTOR -4.4
LEBRON -1.06

Also let’s not forget he got busted for using diuretics to mask PEDs

Clearly defense is the difference between winning and losing for this team.

Are you a suns fan? Lol.

It doesn’t make sense for us short term or long term. I wouldn’t even give up one of FVV or OG for those guys.

Maybe you are right, and this undervalues what Toronto should get. I didn't put all the pick considerations because there would have to be additions, but I think the core of it is getting a viable young player, and I rate Colin Sexton as a player worth investing in as he can drive the ball and can guard on-ball quite well. Nwora is a 40% three point shooter on a rookie deal. Add in FRPs picks, I think you are doing well considering FVV might opt out. Ibaka and Olynyk can still play and stretch the floor. Pascal might appreciate having a couple skilled vets to work with.

Hell no to trading BOTH Fred & OG to PHX....they can have Fred.

Whether that's Cam + Jae + pick(s) (via PHX 23' + MIL SRPs) or Ayton (we throw in Thad or Boucher).

OG needs to be used towards a better haul than just additional one of those guys. He NEEDS to be used for a younger guy with higher upside, don't squander it either trying to add one of Cam or Ayton. They can be ok returns for Fred individually but hell no to OG, his value would be best served finding ANOTHER package elsewhere with a better centerpiece.

OG and Trent for Hield and Mathurin would be an amazing trade. I can't see the Pacers moving Mathurin, but OG is a great fit for them, and you never know.

Something is missing. I don't mind those players but how many picks are the Raps getting from Phoenix????

No... Another guy that can't shoot we need maximum spacing for our guy Barnes and if he stays Siakam which I'm for trading if a mega deal comes our way.

Listen to Ayton speak for 5 minutes and he screams red flag to me. I don't think that's a guy you want around this team.

The only way I trade both Fred and OG to Phoenix is if Booker is coming back. Fred + OG + picks.

If we rolled into camp next year with Siakam/Ayton/Barnes with Fred and GTJ, would that work? Just assuming the money works.

Is that good enough to compete in the East?

LarSiN wrote:He turns 30 in 3 months, his contract goes till the end of the 2026 season. "He'll be turning 34" = he'll be 33, which is accurate in 3 years.

Beyond that, I disagree that Norm looks like the better player right now, and the numbers back that up. Gary at 20-23 per as a 24 year old is better than Norm at 17-20 per as a 29 year old, but that's just my opinion I guess.

His birthday is May 25th, that means he will be 29 this entire season unless the Clippers make the NBA Finals. Same situation in the final year of his contract, he'll be 32 for the entire season minus the NBA Finals if he should actually make it there. So I don't know how the number 34 factors into anything.

As for advanced stats, one of the most important ones is True Shooting. Norm's is at 62.1% right now, while Gary's is 57.4%, almost a 5% difference and fairly indicative of career numbers (59.2% vs. 55.2%). Our team is desperate for high efficiency scoring, Norm would be providing that now if he were on our team.

With respect to future compensation, Gary is currently asking for a deal that averages $25M per year so it's not necessarily Gary at $20M-23M vs. Norm at 17M-20M, it's potentially Gary at $25M/year or even higher if there's a bidding war. Maybe he doesn't get $25M+/year, but that's the asking price that's been floated.
