Kessler/Vanderbilt - All-Defense?
Nobody expected Utah to be competitive in the beginning of the season. Those two provide really good defensive value, do you think they can crack All-Defense accolades this year? Last year we talked about Mobley potentially being an All Defense player in his rookie season (I think he would've been the first since Duncan?) - could it be Kessler?

Vanderbilt has no chance with the minutes he gets for us (I wish he got more).
Kessler… as his minutes ramp up I think he should honestly contend. But I think probably won’t make it, started fairly low minutes and has been ramping up.

Zero chance, Utah is 26th in defense.
Kessler has been quite good though, especially for a rookie, but for where he was drafted and his style of defense it's pretty unlikely he ever gets any real momentum outside of fringe groups like us even if he does deserve a mention. The team actually drops off considerably with Vanderbilt on vs. off though, not sure if there's other factors here, but to me he's probably not deserving of being in the discussion.

No chance with the low minutes and Utah being a bottom-5 defense, but I will say it's pretty impressive that Kessler has them playing at a Top-10 defense with him on the court (112.7 points-per-100) as a rookie.
*whispers* Kessler's a better defensive player than Evan Mobley was as a rookie...

Zero CHANCE.
All-Defensive Teams are by notary, not actual in-year impact.
