its time to talk about how the tides have turned. what was once thought to be a watered down era for stats. WILTS ERA is aging like fine wine now that the wilt haters are coming back to reality more and more. the current era is the only era that should be discredited if we are going to play that game which I am not. the stats are watered down and easy to come by nowadays. I dont want to hear the 60's were padded lmao. they were the toughest era. and hardest to get rebounds in, defense was key back then.. something we can only thirst for now. 20 rebounds in one game has always been impressive. and nobody did it as often as wilt chamberlain CONTRARY to what statmuse(STATLOSE) may tell you. look at some of the names that wilt out-rebounded. beginning AND end of discussion thank you. WHAT LUKA and jokic are doing is impressive. almost as impressive as when it was first done like this by Oscar or elgin. getting a triple double is hard now and hard in the 60's but for different reasons. the point is that legends will be legends. and lebron and wilts careers are intriguingly similar if you ask me

Wasn't much of the 80s higher pace and higher PPG than the current era? I agree btw, that no era should be considered watered down, just reacting to the "if any era, than it should be this one". I don't agree with that at all.

Embiid and other self-serving stars need to take note. This is how a true MVP behaves. Not whining about all star selections or MVP awards, but staying focused on the bigger goals

MVP #3 coming his way to cap off the GOAT 3yr span in NBA history!! :)

If topping off a 3 year span avg a triple double scoring 25 and getting 10 and 11 on 40% shooting from 3 and 80% from the line as a center isn’t a a goat 3 year span...then what is? Offensively what else can he do?

If westbrook didn’t do this a few times before Jokic would already be in the goat convo.....cause when westbrook did it he led sportscenter....now this isn’t goat tier? Oscar and Westbrook are top 75 players because of triple doubles...now Jokic does it and it ain’t a big deal?

Plus look at Jokic usage...his efficiency is not realistic - he is playing a different game

Oh and he is indefinitely bored with this because he knows he wants a ring now and not just be best ever...cause he has been the best for 3 years now...

I think everyone really agrees with you more or less....it’s either Jokic or Giannis as best player but the 3rd player in the best player category is less definitive- if everyone healthy Curry, KD, Kawhi, AD, Luka, Tatum can make some legit arguments....but I completely agree with how you are approaching this

Spoiler:
Jokic is better than Giannis only because Jokics offense is much better than Giannis defense....but Giannis has a ring so it’s like a draw

It’s the goat 3 year regular season span. Little fault of his own but it’s not the best 3 year span including playoffs without a ring or even a deep playoff run

Completely agree...he needs 2plus rings at a minimum to be in a goat conversation

MVP Race:
1. Tatum
2. Jokic
3. Luka
4. Giannis
5. Embiid

Best Player:
1. Giannis
2. Jokic
3. Luka
4. KD
5. Embiid

Feel like Tatum gets overrated and Brown gets underrated.

Don't see how some of you have Tatum in the lead.

Read on Twitter

Embiid just won his 2nd straight player of the month. This is looking like Jokic vs Embiid part 3.

MVP odds have Embiid in 2nd as well. 3rd times the charm for Embiid?

What a time to be alive, eh? Two great centers battling out year after year after year. :)
