It's funny because Grant was traded for 1st and two seconds last offseason. How much value does he have it should be much less because there is only half a season left. How much trade value do rentals like Trent Jr have?

How much negative value does tucker have? What is thybulle value? I dunno the fact that reports are that the Hawks want to dump Collins and have moved off their ask of a first-round pick is them tacitly admitting they can't get a first-round pick for him

All the hype so far has been that it’s a sellers market so prices will be high. But currently the rumors are that all the sellers have had to drop their asking price. It’ll be interesting to see how this deadline actually plays out.

I can’t believe Toronto turned down three FRPs for OG. Remember when top-15 player Jimmy Butler was traded for Dario, RoCo, and a FRP?

Toronto has got to be the most delusional franchise in all of sports. They are just so ridiculous with their asking price for any of their players. Remember Kyle Lowry two years ago? Now they want three FRP for Anunoby. I get that he's a good player, but that's just a ridiculous asking price for a player that no longer wants to be there and will most assuredly walk once he's a free agent.

I bet they'll get 3 though. With some protections. If that's from Memphis, they'll be fairly underwhelming.

Massai only won with Colangelo's roster and because Popovich wanted to send Kawhi somewhere cold.

Now he has the worst team in the Atlantic and all his players want out. Massai got exposed.

Give me Jared Vanderbilt at the deadline and I will be happy as hell.

Yes...Absolutely that guy! He's a shoe in fit here if we can somehow get him. Utah has no use for him.

Danny Ainge is the least reasonable trade partner ever. All he does is try to rip you off.

Sadly, that's very true. Dealing with him is as risky as it gets. I think at this point he's a well known shrewd throughout the league.

I think Ainge is just an opportunist that takes advantage of organizational disfunction.

His top 3 trades:
1. Timberwolves/Jazz - took advantage of new ownership group
2. Nets/Celtics - took advantage of new owner in Prokorov
3. Sixers/Celtics - Colangelo was in his first year & obviously brain dead

I'm honestly just curious here- not looking to start WW3 , really just curious...

I am wondering what people would think about exchanging Tobias Harris for Russell Westbrook?

Let me be clear- I love both of them. I think the hate my man Tobias Harris gets here is ridiculous. Yep, overpaid. So is the vast majority of the NBA if not 3 of the 4 major professional sports leagues. If we didn't Supermax him, someone else was going to. And yeah, maybe if we could go back and say, "We want to have Joel Embiid, Jimmy Butler, and James Harden and part with Harris and Benedict Simmons can go pound some fine Jersey Shore sand..." - but we can't ... But I like Harris and he could play on my team anytime.

But I also firmly believe Russell Westbrook is a transcendental player who was stupid enough to let LeBiatch convince him to "come home" and has had a couple years of raw deal.

Just curious what people would think of Harris (and I threw in Korkmaz to make the deal work) for Westbrook and whatever FRPs we can extract from LA ... He's a FA after the season, and I think playing with Joel and James would rejuvenate and invigorate him, especially come Playoff Time ... Westbrook/Harden/Thybulle/Tucker/Embiid is a pretty potent Playoff lineup ...

I realize it's not going to happen and I'm not trying to start WW3, just curious from an 'academic'-sort of discussion kind of way.

You going to take the ball out of Harden's hands to give it to Westbrook? And you also want Harden and Maxey to share the court with Westbrook on defense? If you don't want to play all three of them together you want to allocate minutes to Westbrook at either of Harden's or Maxey's expense?

I wouldn't trade Matisse for Westbrook even if we could match salaries with Korkmaz type contracts.

Alright, time to go after KD. Harris/Maxey/2027 FRP protections removed/2028 FRP swap/2029 unprotected FRP for Durant.

Harden/Milton/Springer
Melton/Thybulle/Korkmaz
Durant/House
Tucker/Niang/?
Embiid/Harrell/Reed

Get a forward/center on the buyout market.

If we're just discussing this, Russell Westbrook is nowhere near the player he once was. He's gotten progressively worse at the game of basketball since being trade from Houston to Washington. Have you actually watched him since he's been a Laker? I mean this will all due respect, but how many Laker games have you actually watched this year or last year for that matter? He's been terrible each and every time I've seen him play. He commits some of the most frustrating turnovers I think I've ever seen a guard commit in the history of me watching the game. The last game he played against us where he took the last shot of the game while being guarded by Embiid should say it all. He no longer has any business playing in an alpha role and yet he still feels like he is an alpha player. That is his problem in my opinion. Sure, he's embraced the sixth man role in LA, but that's only because he has to at this point. Westbrook is a year or two away from being completely out of the league if you ask me. His best hope would be for the Lakers to trade him and whatever picks they have to Brooklyn for Kyrie Irving. In Brooklyn he can have a starting role at point guard and be reunited with Kevin Durant for the remainder of the season until Durant himself requests a trade out of there. I personally think Westbrook is somewhat of a toxic player and I highly doubt James Harden OR Joel Embiid (based off of his history with Westbrook) want anything to do with him as a teammate. If we trade Tobias Harris for Russell Westbrook, it will go down as the dumbest move in the history of this franchise and that's saying something considering we drafted Shawn Bradley with the 2nd overall pick once upon a time.
Switching gears here, if we're going to try and trade Tobias Harris, then it needs to be Tobias + Assets so that we can further upgrade the roster.

Even for the underwhelming, one-dimensional player that is Tyrese Maxey?
