Thank God. Leave, and don't come back to further debase and ruin these conversations.

Thanks.

In a few years when Jokic still hasn't won anything what will you say then?

Pretty sure a lot of people did not hype Westbrooks triples doubles. I for one think he is the worst MVP of the modern era. Dude is a floor raiser, not a ceiling raiser which MVP's should be.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

To some extent I agree with the justifications for how this is different from Westbrook, but it's also kinda worse in a way because he already had two in years where his team didn't do a lot in playoffs. Like man if Karl Malone and Derrick Rose can interrupt some MVP streaks because of voter fatigue, why are people content to vote for Jokic every year? We are putting him on an unprecedented pedestal if he wins the MVP.

It feels like some double standard.

Well, a few reasons:
- His team has sucked because of all the injuries and he still carried them well beyond what many expected
- He's having all-time level offensive seasons and can seemingly carry a team to offensive respectability virtually on his own
- He's an iron-man who hardly misses regular season games (compared to other MVP contenders)

Wrt Malone and Rose, both of them were on teams that were legit contenders. I thought Malone was deserving but Rose really wasn't. He just got the benefit of being the primary offensive guy on the best defense in the league. That and nobody was giving it to Bron after The Decision.

These are remembered as very poor MVP results, though.
And both were leading 60+ win teams anyway, someone must take it away from Jokic

The weird thing about his triple double is that his assist numbers have risen sharply as the season has gone on, it's taken him until now to round it up to 10 but split the season in half and in the second half he must be averaging nearly 12 a game.

This is becoming historical on the playmaking front, regardless of the triple double aspect.

Edit: although, tbf after watching the highlights there was more than a couple of Stockton assists  . Hands the ball to someond who then beats his man and scores.

Because what Jokic is doing is unprecedented. Not sure why this is so difficult for some people to grasp. Jokic is THAT good.

Westbrook while impressive in those seasons, he was the definition for the stat padder, we know how he managed to grab double digit rebounds per game, he was taking bunch of bad shots and making lots of turnovers. Jokic had like bunch of games this season when he was rebound or points or the assists shy from triple double and he would miss entire fourth quarter . If he was stat padding, he would be averaging triple double in every game this season . Still, I don't like his game this season that much because he's not scoring the ball as much he should.

He made a very reasonable counter and you comeback with a jab about Embiid, because you know it was true. You should laugh at yourself. Also embiid never had a teammate dropping multiple 50 point games and taking over as the leading scorer on his team in the playoffs. Jokic did in his historic 1 trip to the WCF, where they had the luxury of coming back from 3-1 twice without having to play road elimination games.

As for westbrooks triple doubles being manufactured, how? Explain. How's it different from Jokic? Jokic took 1 FGa in the first quarter last night, got his teammates going. Isn't this what westbrook is for some reason criticized for doing, and why you all call his numbers manufactured?

Also, while he makes some amazing passes, I'll say it. Lots of Jokic's assists are just dribble handoffs or guys repeatedly running off him in the high post (compared to westbrook collapsing a defense all night with a dribble). Manufactured!

Like his teammates literally shielding so he can grab defensive boards, he was still playing uncontrollable basketball at OKC, he didn't shy from taking the bad shot or make the stupid turnover. Isiah Thomas on the legit triple doubles at the end of the clip.

Westbrook played with lots of dudes who couldn't come close to generating their own shots. He had to take alot of bad ones. Westbrook had unique energy and went after every rebound. His teammates knew if they boxed out he'd be there. I don't care about the analysis of Isiah Thomas. He's out of management and into broadcasting for a reason.

2016 steph was isolated? Didn't he win the MVP in 2015...and he won the title in 2017, 2018, and 2022 after 2016?

Just like Steph, Jokic doesn't at all look to be say having a 2003 Tmac year! These are all time greats we're watching.
