My 2 cents have not changed from my last post about a month ago.. Boston fan here but will freely admit The Joker should be head and shoulders above the rest.. There is still time to have a change but right now joker has a solid lead...
And for all the various reasons I've stated a few times Tatum should be Is solidly in 2nd.

2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Feel like Tatum gets overrated and Brown gets underrated.
If that's the case, why have Tatum #1 on the MVP ranking? lol I'll keep saying it - voting for Tatum this year feels extremely lazy. He's not doing anything special (just great) and plays on the best team with arguably the best side kick. Give it to Jokic or Embiid.

1. Jokic - Obvious reasons, though lately I’m finding Luka’s run to be a tad more impressive than Jokic’s 2021 MVP campaign (first MVP) . Jokic had a pretty bad team, Mavs are shocking without Luka. Like awful, awful I do think this is the worst team if comparing all their years side by side together holistically.
2. Luka - Amazing. Don’t need to add anymore. Westbrook/Jokic both got 47 wins so if Luka gets around that (haven’t checked what win pace the Mavs is one), then I can definitely see him winning it. Deservedly so.
3 - Tatum/Embiid. Both career years and would be applicable winners it’s just that the other two are having ATG seasons imo. Embiid is a special case though as his scoring rate is out of this world. Would not surprise if he comes close in the end. (Shades of Harden’s runner up years but in a center version?)

Jokic last season MVP award was legit . He was dominant and he carried that trash roster to the 6th seed.

And yet, the Celtics have been a bad team when Tatum sits. I posted all the lineup data a few weeks ago, but let’s take another look.
Tatum on the court, Jaylen off? +15.5 net rating.
Tatum on the court without Smart, Jaylen, Al, and Rob? +14.3 net rating.
Smart, Jaylen, and Horford on the court without Tatum? -2.7 net rating.
I’ve been on the record multiple times that I think Jokic should be MVP. But if you don’t think what Tatum’s doing is special, it’s you missing.

Not that poster but I assume it's because MVP is awarded to the player who's having the best season and isn't necessarily given to the best player in the league.

Basically same for me but I'd bump Embiid up to shared second with Luka

22/14/16 on 69% shooting. Luka also would have had a huge game if not for that scary fall, and we once again saw what the Mavs are without him, barely held on after a 30-point lead.

His first 5 minutes were absolutely ass. He was 1 of 7 or 1 of 8 to start the game from memory when Bucks were down 20-5. From there 20 of 31 to finish the game and will the win.

Bucks are healthy and I see them finishing stronger than Nuggets (who are bad on the road), Giannis has a good chance at MVP.

Jokic
Ja
Sabonis
Zion
Luka

Cause the Pelicans really suck without him
Like is a whole topic on the gb about how bad the Pelicans been without him
They was 1st or 2nd seed in the west when he got injured, now they’re 10th and that was before Ingram came back
Pay your beals....or its lights out!!!
Bron, Bosh, Wade is like Mike, Hakeem, barkley...3 top 5 picks from same draft

He missed 12 games already. He can’t miss anymore games. I think Denver will have a better record. And Denver is not bad on the road. Where you get that lol. Plus Jokic has the numbers and the record. I can’t see him losing if he keeps that up. Jokic is averaging a triple double and are first in the west

Nuggets are 0.500 on the road. That's bad for a contender, and bucks are healthy and looking like they will finish strong. Jokic is still favorite, but Giannis and Bucks have momentum.

For more biased bucks fan context, it was an absolutely grindfest 106-105 where his teammates shot 7 of 29 on 3s and he had to take over. Everyone knew Giannis was getting the ball once the fourth quarter started and they couldn't stop him. Not the most efficient game but similar to the games the last couple years in the playoffs where is bad efficiency is still light years better than giving anyone else the ball

Giannis was the offence for the Bucks, he willed them to a Win. Brutal offence shown by both teams that game. Giannis scored more than half his teams points lol.
