Looks like it happened in 2016 with the Wizards. https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/warriors/nba-postpones-two-games-because-severe-weather

Years ago I had tickets to a Bullets/Suns game that got weirdly postponed due to humidity. They couldn't keep the court dry.

That sounds familiar, was that Cap Center?

Wasn’t that the game when the Caps hockey game was scheduled later that day so there was ice under the floor? Because of the colder temperatures below the court the warmer air above it kept condensing moisture on to the court surface.

Wet court made it too dangerous to the players, every time the moisture was whipped up it would just get wet again due to the humidity in the air.
Tsze-Kung asked, "Is there one word which may serve as a rule of practice for all one's life?"

The Master said, "Is not Reciprocity such a word? What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others."

That sounds right, but I forget the location. I had one game postponed because of condensation on the court, and another postponed because of icy weather, which makes me think the latter was at the phone booth, because the ice excuse sounds more silly when you can take the subway to the game.

I’ll bet somewhere somebody has a catalog of every NBA game canceled or postponed for whatever reason. Someone had to make that their specialty.

Yup. The hardwood-over-ice thing wasn't that uncommon back in the day that that's exactly what happened.
