Feel like Knicks’ 23 DAL 1st can be really good pick(11-15ish). Luka injured again. They might have a losing record depending on the Luka’s health and trade deadline.

Don't expect anything significant until close to the deadline as Raptors/buyers jostle over price.

Hope it pushes them deeper into making panac trades!

The Grizzlies, maybe, but the Pelicans might just throw in the towel if they don't get Zion back soon.

I'm also guessing that they are looking at this for the long term, having OG as part of your core for the next 2-4 years is what they are acquiring, not just this season.

Argument could go both ways I guess if it’s long term thinking .

If it’s long term, why give up multiple picks and young guys if you aren’t ready to compete for a title. Especially when you factor in their contracts and their value based on those contracts.

They look good for a bit there when healthy but was it a big enough sample size ?

The teams I would imagine here, are the ones that feel OG is the missing link to a deep run. That teams that need a versatile defender when that playoff game is down to the last few possessions.

I’m probably overthinking it but I just don’t see a play in team giving up part of their future for this guy . Unless someone thinks he will develop offensively some more . This isn’t like McGrady 2.0, where you lose the guy and he ends up averaging 10-12 ppg more. What you see is what you get.

Strategy comes into play as well, OG is such a unique defensive talent that having him on your team means he isn't on someone else's.

The Pelicans also have so many FRPs (13 I believe) that trading a few of them to ensure that your defensive stopper is in place, to go alongside your #1 and 2 options is not a bad trade-off. I have more questions around if CJ should be part of their team, but OG would slot in so nice to take care of the Murrays, Luka, Kawhis, etc. in the West. Zion and Ingram are ready, really depends on how patient the Pelicans want to be I suppose.

Bontemps gets it... Pels are the best suitor for OG, Grizz can't compete with them when it comes to an offer... Warriors only have depreciating young assets to offer, with the exception of maybe Kuminga.

But Grizzlies may have the single best trade asset - GSW's 2024 FRP, protected 1-4 in 2024 and 1 in 2025 and unprotected in 2026.

perfect guy to compliment our best player FVV

I hear ya, I'm not as optimistic as others about future picks, too hard to forecast where they'll convey. I'm also not convinced that GS will be out of the playoff picture by then unless they decide to transition to a younger squad and move on from Curry, etc which I'm not convinced they'll do in the next 2 years after everything he's brought to the franchise. I think they'll try to extend their contention window as long as Curry is on their team, and odds are he retires a Warrior.

Never overpay one dimensional players. Robinson is a cautionary tale. Don't get stuck with a mediocre or bad contract.

Trade them Fred NOW so they will make the play-in and not be in the running for Scoot/Wemby.

If Fred really wants the MOST money he'd be cool with signing in Orlando with no state taxes.

Suggs, Ross and Caleb Houstan for FVV and Juancho Hernangomez.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/s/suggsja01/splits/2023

He's played 20+ mins this season 16 times and has been able to shoot 32% from 3 in those games. He's 21 and maybe worth sticking it out. I suspect they scouted him extensively when considering the #4, which was Barnes.

Not just one dimensional player...Duncan Robinson is a one-trick pony. He only really shoot 3s.
