It's been too quiet. It's been about basketball for too long. Dude needs his attention again.

It's like clockwork!

They shouldn't trade him. If he wants to sit out and tank his value even further then go ahead.

They gave in to Harden last year and it saddled us with the terrible Simmons contract. I'd rather lose him for nothing than get **** assets in return.

Does he plan to sit it out, has he already played his last game as a Net?

I'd say I'm surprised, but I'd be lying.

Team needs a new GM. That's it.

Kyrie situation or not, Sean Marks is not it.

Wasn't he playing well? Feels dumb even by his standards. All he had to do was finish out the season and he'd get good offers.

I guess there will always be a team or two that will pay him the max, but this trade request is yet another red flag. Will be curious to see if any teams actually offer value for him.

2 weeks ago he said he wants to sign a long term deal. Marks must have said something that has pissed him off. Anyway we can get him to Toronto and get siakim back. This franchise is really hard to support sometimes. We can’t have anything nice or get any luck

I had a feeling this was coming when it became clear that the Nets weren't going to extend him in season. It is what it is, and I feel both sides on the issue. That's why I was in support of an extension so that dude can play without having to worry about injury derailing his income but at the same time, I don't blame Joe Tsai one bit for refusing to do it.

Also, Sean Marks needs to be fired right after the deadline. Don't even beat around the bush.

Some people might think this is bad news for the Nets. It's not.

Trade this guy and move the **** on. You guys don’t need all this guys baggage and bull. Get what you can and then in the offseason do whatever else needs to be done if they decide to rebuild.

He would have just gotten his extension and acted like an ass again eventually like he does EVERYWHERE he’s ever been

Most likely said no to an extension. Kyrie tried to drive up his value by playing well and not skipping games and reminded everybody why his value was so low for a player of his caliber in the first place.

Kyrie was playing well and getting along well with everyone on the team and Vaughn, but the fact that he did not have any contract security beyond this season was always going to be an issue regardless of how anyone feels about him or ownership.

We'll see what happens.

KD will be moved this summer and the team will try to reset as best as possible. Sean Marks should not be the person in charge of that. He brought the franchise back from the brink and then immediately sent them right back.

I think he wants to be a Net but he also wants the security of a long term contract. Nets don't want to give him a max.

If he waits till offseason, it's really hard to find a destination (i.e. Lakers) where he can make similar money for the Nets.

Kyrie should have just shut up and waited till the off season.

This episode will only derail any chance he has of getting that max contract.

Sean Marks also just needs to go.

He has just done a terrible job with everything surrounding these players.

Harden, KD and Kyrie have all now demanded out.

How can he be that bad at managing this?

When his agent/step mom made his extension request public, that should have let everyone know that this was coming. I was in favor of an extension because the team is really good when 100% and worst case scenario we pawn him to the Lakers in the summer, but i'm not the guy putting his body on the line without the security of an extension or the guy cutting the checks to someone who he doesn't trust.

It's whatever. I'm more excited about the Liberty anyway.

He wants to get somewhere that will give him his max. As far as we know, that might be only the Lakers. I can't imagine there's teams lining up to give up value for Kyrie now. If Marks can hold firm on KD, he can hold firm on Kyrie.

You don't move Kyrie unless it improves the team or you move KD first. Unless NOLA or Memphis offer godfather offers, you don't move KD.
