The reality that I think it's gonna be an either/or scenario regarding Daniels and Murphy if the rumors about NO's interest in OG are true. They'll probably only give up 1 of them and throw in a 1st. If Masai somehow gets both of them even without a pick included, that is still highway robbery.

I'd do it straight up for those two, and try and acquire a pick in a FVV trade. Getting two promising young players on rookie salaries who we can retain for a while is a good play. If it's just choosing between Sharpe or Dyson though, I might go with Sharpe. I do like them both, just like the upside of Sharpe's offence. I could see him reaching similar levels offensively as say Zach Lavine, or maybe even a Jalen Brown. That's a dude that can move the needle a little bit, where as Dyson might be destined to be a strong all around role player type. His O has a long way to go, even if he has some nice IQ and a promising jumper.

If New Orleans isn't willing to move either Daniels or Murphy I'm not sure I see them as a viable trade partner. The Raps will almost certainly want a promising young player back, and Hayes has basically stagnated as a backup big.

Including Graham in a deal is the Raptors taking back a bad salary, so really it would be JV and Hayes for OG? We all love JV, but I'm not sure that anyone believes that he moves the needle for the team to make them a contender now or in the future. And Hayes is redundant if JV is coming back when we'd also still be looking for minutes for developing bigs in Precious and Koloko.

Don't think anyone should be expecting 3 picks for OG. But Daniels or Murphy and 1 pick might be about right. But if NO really isn't going to entertain those options, I would expect the Raps would just talk to other teams.

Yeah, the logic is sound. They have 3 guys in Zion, BI and CJ that are set to make big money so the FO is going to highly value cheap young talent that can actually contribute to winning basketball. He also pointed out that the organization has never been willing to spend into the luxury tax.

The likely salary ballast coming back is Graham's, long, bad deal. If it's Daniels coming along with picks, that's even term money for next 3 years coming out.

CJ has 2 years left after this, where he'll be 35 at the end of his contract.

OG will likely double his salary in that 3rd year adding an extra 15+ mil (again, all term is the same if they keep Graham/Daniels). After that year, CJ is either done, or taking a big paycut.

The long term salary looks good for them.
