Nets aren't trading KD in one week. LOL.

There's maybe 1 or 2 teams that would be seriously interested in Kyrie.

Not much changes.

But there's a lot of trolling to be done in a week (not on other boards. Here)

You could always support another team if you're so salty about the way management operates? No one is stopping you lol

I don't understand, I am making a trade where we improve on a player front and that there is little difference between a first and a second. We made such a move so I am saying it is smart asset management.

Okay play dumb, sure. It seems like your thing but that trade was literally a year ago and you bring it up so often. It seems like the the FO lives in your head rent free honestly.

Why would Brooklyn trade anyone now?
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

It's the same people saying we have no leverage anymore without understanding the dynamics of the NBA. It makes no sense but they seem to think it does when they type it out and press submit.

If they trade him, it's an offseason move.

Those discussions already started in the offseason. If he wanted out, the Nets could pick up where they left off with a lot of teams. Probably wouldn't take long at all to get things done.

Why would you do this when in the offseason more teams can put together offers? You limit yourself because teams have a lot less financial flexibility during the season and some players can't be traded at all until the summer.

There are more contracts available to trade now rather in the offseason when you can't package free agents together. Again, Nets have already gauged the entire nba and know what's out there. 6 days is more than enough time to trade him if Durants pressures them enough. All depends on him tbh.

Exactly, and not to mention teams usually use the playoffs as a measure of their roster construction. As a result, teams become more motivated to make a major move once they're eliminated/realize they're not good enough. Any KD trade will take place in the offseason.

I think that's the most likely scenario, they do nothing and just wait for the offseason.

KD and Kyrie aren't sitting out games and missing paychecks.

Who says we have no leverage? This is just common sense. Obviously there's a lot of time still left but teams will want to wait out the kyrie and Durant situation and see where that leads if they're available. We're the backup plan until that gets resolved.

Someone reply to that Nets fan on this thread with

"Fred/Gary + 2 picks, 3swaps for Durant, final offer"

Fred/OG/Trent + 2 picks, 3 swaps for Durant/Kyrie is probably our best offer. Then go get Poeltl.

Barnes
Kyrie
Durant
Siakam
Poeltl

Might be the move. I think Masai needs to evaluate the roster some more. This move can save us some money on the salary cap.

You can get the same value for that first like you can in the early 2nd round I reckon. People say this draft is really weak outside of the top 2 anyways.

Honestly, I only care to move Fred, Thad maybe. The rest can wait if the offers aren't there. If they trade Kyrie the Lakers, I see Fred going to the Nets as a real possibility.

3-Way!!!

Lakers get Kyrie, Markieff Morris and Khem Birch

Brooklyn gets: FVV, Thaddeus Young and Chris Boucher

Raptors get Westbrook, Seth Curry, Max Christie, Damian Jones and Kessler Edwards (waive)

PG Barnes - Westbrook - Flynn
SG Trent - Curry - Christie - Dowtin
SF OG - Siakam - Banton/Wieskamp
PF Siakam - Barnes - Hernangomez
C Precious - Koloko - Jones

Would love to retain Seth Curry for 5 years at the MLE! If Westbrook will re-sign for $24 million to start on a declining $2 million per year, I'd give him a 4 year deal. 24-20-18-16

I think you say eff it and take a waiver on him.

Birch and a 2nd round pick for him.

It doesn't really impact the OG trades. Even if we got a big ask, the Pels would still likely have the best "all in" offer for Durant (Nets aren't trading him unless Ingram is in the deal) And OG fits their picture with or without him anyway. The other teams don't have the assets for a legit shot at KD.

Unfortunately, this does impact the FVV trades as basically all the likely destinations either have a Kyrie or offseason KD potential for them. Might be the last domino to fall on deadline day.

How would posters feel about:

- FVV & Trent To Brooklyn
- Irving to Lakers - Thad & Birch to Lakers
- Westbrook and many picks to Raptors

You could always support another team if you're so salty about the way management operates? No one is stopping you lol

He's just here to post unfunny negative one liners.

lmfao i was never connecting kyrie to OG in the first place. it's durant that potentially affects OG as teams will wait to see if he potentially puts his name out there too. and as i said, kyrie affects fred's market as a bunch of those teams will probably be interested too.
