Clippers are considering buying out John Wall

Pretty crazy how quickly things can turn. He talked all this game about how he’s back, but he’s been God awful this year.
“This kid reminds me of a 6-6 Chris Paul. He wants to win everything.”

Buying out is a kind way of saying they want to cut him.

Sad ending to a good career. This was probably his best shot at winning a title but he's lost far too much speed, athleticism and not skilled enough to compensate for the losses.

They must not have anything cooking? That salary could've been useful as a makeweight, but instead they just want him gone.

He should retire. He was always overrated.

He must be badly washed because the clippers badly need point guard

He looked bad on the Rockets too. I don't know why anyone was excited about this.

Laker fans should be over the moon they didn't end up trading for this washed up bum last year. As bad as Russ has been stat wise this year, he's still been way more impactful than this dude.

It was already clear with the Rockets that Wall was absolutely done as a player so this isn't particularly surprising. He can't shoot, he can't defend, his playmaking IQ was always pretty average which 100% relied on athleticism than creating creative angles.

Some "quality" takes in that thread. Yikes.

''This story makes no sense.''
''If the Lakers can pull this off without the pick, might as well. Any Westbrook trade they can make in the offseason they can make with Wall in his place.''
''Same. The risk seems pretty minimal at this point too.''
''Wall literately can suit up tomorrow night from his couch and still be better than Westbrook. Cause at this point anyone is better than Westbrook. Just get WestBRICK off my team for the love of God''

Half this place said it would take 2 1sts to swap Russ with Wall. Laker fans overwhelmingly didn't.

Rockets actually made him look good by making it seem like they needed to sit him to tank.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

John Wall still believes an all NBA talent and an all-star snub. He deserves respect.

Man, how John's career fell off a cliff.

I'm sure John thinks this is somehow the Rockets fault...

he is actually still above average in athleticism. He just has a relatively low basketball IQ- he makes ill advised passes on offense, gets lost on defense, and is a poor perimeter shooter

Man who would have thought both Cousins and Wall would be out of the league already. It is sad what injuries did to those two

The Clippers needed (and still need) a veteran point guard to make smart decisions in crunch time, play decent defense and be a good spot up three point shooter. Wall has not provided any of that. It just isn't his game. He is really more of an empty-suit type player than anything else. He should try the Asian market next like Marbury and D. Howard.
