The Nets were blindsided on Friday by the latest in the Kyrie Irving saga (2019-present). Brooklyn offered Kyrie an extension with guarantee stipulations which has led to a "pay me or trade me" ultimatum. Sean Marks and Jose Tsai now will need to get some value for him or let him walk this summer for nothing. Though, who would pay Kyrie a 4-year $200M deal at this point?
Anyway, the vibes in Brooklyn were great over the past couple months and we'll see how they respond to Kyrie's grenade. I think they still come out, play hard, and destroy your Bullets! The Nets got destroyed by the Celtics on Wednesday.
