So Gallo's first minutes will be playoff basketball after not playing for a full year? Hopefully he will be gone and it won't even be a topic of conversation.

If he goes to Miami, Kyrie will blow up the entire culture in 1 month. He doesn't play defense, and you can't depend on him. Hell...if costs Herro then pull the trigger. One less team for the Celtics to worry about.

What is the scenario here, Kyrie to Miami, Lowry to the Lakers, Russ to the Nets? Or Kyrie to LA, Russ to Miami, Lowry to Brooklyn?

Brad Stevens would be extremely fortunate to pick up a useful player using Gallo’s contract and another team taking an issue away from the Celtics

Why not pick up a useful player, without having to move Gallo? That way, you keep Gallo for next season - and the slight chance that he returns this season.

Vanderbilt fits into the Schroder TPE. Give the Jazz, a pick and/or Pritchard. Whatever, but giving up Gallo isn't necessary to get it done..

Gallo will be the Celtics version of Utah’s Rudy Gay next year. Utah can’t move Rudy Gay. This is what people can’t get in their heads. Gallo is done as far as being any kind of significant player. Cut bait and move him now if you can get back a useful player.

Gallo was on his last legs (pardon the pun) before his injury. That’s why the Celtics were able to get him for $6 million.

You’re indirectly making the case to keep him. Right now, he’s multi year salary filler with no on court value. Next year, he’s expiring salary filler with no on court value if he’s shot after the injury. That alone makes him a more practical trade chip next year. If he has any sort of return to court value at all that’s just gravy.

The problem with using him in a trade now is that some team is going to make you pay extra to use Gallo as the salary. And we’re already so limited in what we have to trade because of the pick owed for Brogdon that it’s tough to envision a scenario that works.

This off-season we get flexibility to move near-term picks again and Gallo will be expiring vs multi year. Much easier to see trade scenarios then.

For anyone on the team (except Tatum & Brown) and multiple Firsts/Pick Swaps...

If Kyrie's gone then there's really nothing there for KD.

Unless they think KD, Ben Simmons, and Eiza Gonzalez will be an awesome 3 some.
