Saw this the other day, thought this might be a good time to bring it up.
Baffling that a career of such a young, bright, down to earth guy went completely off the rails if you ask me.

I can see Ja Morant's career heading that way too.

Injuries have ended many potential great careers, wall is one of them.

Some "quality" takes in that thread. Yikes.
''This story makes no sense.''
''If the Lakers can pull this off without the pick, might as well. Any Westbrook trade they can make in the offseason they can make with Wall in his place.''
''Same. The risk seems pretty minimal at this point too.''
''Wall literately can suit up tomorrow night from his couch and still be better than Westbrook. Cause at this point anyone is better than Westbrook. Just get WestBRICK off my team for the love of God''
To be fair Westbrook was that terrible last year. He was a net negative, we would have been better off sitting him than playing him.
He embraced a bench role this year and has had a positive impact, something he flat out refused to do last years
No they wouldn't have been. It was clear when they benched him handful of times last season in the 4th. They lost all those games. Karma.
I believe this season their track record when Westbrook doesn't play last minutes in the 4th in tight games us really bad as well. Their offense is just stagnant let's watch LeBron brick 3s and nobody but him touches the ball for 90% of the shot clock.

Re: Clippers are considering buying out John Wall
As I stated earlier in the thread, if you watched Wall in action this season you’d see that he is still a great athlete- above average quickness and leaping ability. He just doesn’t fit the clippers needs very well in that he commits too many unforced turnovers, is a poor perimeter shooter, and gets lost on defense.
I don’t know if he always had such flaws (besides shooting) as I didn’t watch him closely earlier in his career

wall was pretty good in his short younger days. wall will never be "Great". great is in the pantheon of jerry west, john stockton, ithomas, oscar, magic. they're GREAT.
your use of "great" pertains to drew league, bush league, or a "great" stamp you get from your elementary teacher.
wall is overrated; he's not even the greatest washington player. beal and kuzma have a better case over him

My friends at MSFT were worried they will be part of the layoffs waive and Ballmer is burning cash on these bums, 340 mils on payroll + taxes alone.

Re: Clippers are considering buying out John Wall
I’m old enough to remember when Real Gms consensus was that Wall was a brilliant mid level signing who signified the difference in competence between the Clippers and Lakers front offices. Forgetting that Wall hasn’t played good basketball in 4 years, which I pointed out at the time. But hey “he looks amazing in pickup games” last summer was all the talk. Silly szn fooled you all once again.

Ja shoots a little better than those guys so at least on the offensive side he doesn't have to rely on his athleticism entirely. But yeah right now he plays a little too above the rim for my comfort. You would think some of these guys would take the Iverson and Carter route and not play above the rim to save themselves a little more but that's probably all they know.

Maybe great is not the word if you are comparing him to Jerry West and John Stockton but Wall was a verry good player and with a promising career in front of him who got hurt as soon as he was about to hit his prime. There is no telling how good he was be there is no need to hate on the guy.

That supermax was probably the worst contract in NBA history.

The Clipper's main problem with acquisitions is that they base it on that one game where that player bested them personally or had a career high. Outside of that one game, the player is normally a second or third string guy, a scrub even, making that one game vs. Clippers a fool's gold. They easily get drawn by the possibility of turning that lesser player into something he's truly not.
And as for players who defeated Clippers, they look at them as the missing piece, something Doc Rivers did a lot of when he was coach. "You defeated my Clippers - show me how. You're going to help us by turning what you did against us to our advantage." Very jealous, very vengeful. Doc cared more about getting even than getting his team right, understanding all the little details into becoming a successful championship contender. They let personal emotions get in the way of business.
The only good thing I'm giving Clippers credit for is avoiding ejections. They are one of nine teams to not have a player or coach tossed from a game by technical fouls or flagrant fouls this season. Their ability to stay out of ejections is evidence Clippers are learning how to control their tempers and maintain mental fortitude (even Morris who normally gets an ejection at least once every season). If a single ejection occurs, then it would validate everything wrong about the Clippers and force the team into making a move just because they got exposed as a dysfunctional franchise again.

LOL. That's one bad report imo. They need his salary as trade ballast. If they strike out completely, sure, but hes the first salary included.
