Dyson is just taller version of Suggs. Don't want
LOL these posts won't age well.
The both of you are sleeping on Dyson, just give it 2-3 years and more consistent minutes, I'm not saying he'll be a superstar but he's gonna be a damn good player long term. He already has ELITE defensive instincts that at minimum he'll become one of the better defenders in the league, really good court vision, better ballhandler and size for the position (Suggs is just too short & stocky, not to mention injury prone).
He's barely starting to get a feel of the NBA game in such limited minutes. As he gets more reps he's going to be able to read the game better & better...while I've always said Trey first, Dyson + a pick (maybe Jones too, although I think the KD drama will lessen the offers we get) would not be a bad result at all.

Needs a real shot to offset lack of first step and quickness. Thats what will hold him back. He’ll be okay but my point is if are trading OG - we better get Trey from them over anyone.

Of course the jumper is what will unlock any player with unique size & passing ability (ahem* Scottie) and I'd argue Dyson's form looks a lot cleaner than Scottie's despite being younger. I know Scottie is even bigger so he can offset it in the post. But Dyson's shot doesn't look broken & imo it actually looks quite good but he's obviously gotta tighten that up with time.
But he does have a unique feel for the game (especially defensively, he's legit on that end) & I would say another way to help offset things until that jumper is cleaner is using some more shiftiness/keeping his defender on his hip ala Luka, Shai....I'm NOT saying that's what he's doing, to be clear I'm saying learning to add more of that will help him build up his game offensively too, the jumper isn't the only way to become better offensively. Personally I think he has enough fluidity with the ball in his hand, court vision & processing ability to become a threat that way but yes ultimately like Scottie, Giddey etc, the jumper would unlock everything else (if I had to pick one guy's shot mechanics right now, to me Dyson's looks the most promising personally).
Like I said though, I am of the same opinion that I would aim for Murphy first, I've been saying that for weeks because I think he's a way better FIT with Scottie...and Pascal if he sticks around. Plus I think Trey has some untapped potential as a scorer himself but I think he'd be such a deadly weapon as a motion shooter around Scottie (like a poorman's Dray & Klay lol). Really my favorite (hopeful) pacakges is either 1. Sharpe + pick or 2. Trey + pick. I just think we could turn Sharpe into a true star wing that would incredibly fun & exciting to watch and Trey, I actually believe if we pushed him, that we could get him to a borderline all-star level type of player, of course that's at the height of their potentials. Even if they didn't become quite that, I think they'd more than make up for OG's loss long term. Dyson to me could actually end up better than Trey as an overall player if that jumper clicks, I just think it could be a real ugly fit UNTIL/if he can get that going, it's not an ideal fit for me like the other 2 more scoring oriented young players that I'd prefer.
