Will Arsenal fall apart? Losing to the bottom team in the league.

Who knows, but the past two matches definitely aren't encouraging. Credit to Everton. The sugar high from a new manager will wear off at some point, but for one afternoon they were definitely the better team. Most teams in their situation will just pack it in, junk up the game and try to win with a fluke goal -- anti-football. They took the match to Arsenal from the opening whistle.

Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle all dropping points is good news for Spurs.
Or it would be, if we weren't playing City. Or crap.

It looked like Casemiro was going to chokeslam Hughes through the advertising boards.

Kane becomes Spurs' all time record scorer.
There's nothing that I want more than to win something with him at the club. Likely not at this point, but time will tell.

Battered City there. Scoreline doesn't show it, but we played them off the park. Deserved win. Don't care if it lets Arsenal off.
They are not the City of old, that's for sure. Emerson absolutely owned Grealish on that flank.

Re: 2022-23 English Premier League Discussion Thread
That last City chance where Lloris lunged at it to punch the ball, the City player looked at where the ball went and covered his face as if he was hit in the face.
While writhing on the ground, he took a peek to see what was happening and then covered his face again.
All to try to buy a couple more minutes.
Lloris also went face down too.
Two of the best clubs in the sport and they resort to this stuff.

Yeah, all the bullsht play-acting is one of the worst parts of the sport but that peek just about took the cake. Plus, he was milking it while his team was losing in stoppage time. Bold, bold strategy there.

Taking notes from his countryman Busquets.

Re: 2022-23 English Premier League Discussion Thread
City's back four today:
Lewis - Ake - Akanji - Walker
Quite the drop from having Laporte and Ruben Dias with Cancelo and Walker either side. A lot's being said about Haaland's role in this City team, but that is not a strong defence. City got bullied by the Spurs press today, Rodri especially was poor. The shape looked awkward trying to accommodate both Alvarez and Haaland too.

They aren't, I didn't watch the match but I think the Cancelo situation sort of sums them up. Cancelo is a great player, he made them better and Pep gets rid in a blink. I think Man city are finished. No added pressure on Arsenal should allow them to walk it now.

I think it's scandalous. Players are not getting hit in the head or are getting tapped and then going down like there's a problem to stop the match. Don't they realise that the rule was to save lives not waste time?
Watched refs stopping the game because players are injured (feigning it normally) not head injuries even and then not stopping it for the other team.
We need to start booking players for feigning injuries or making them ALL step off the pitch immediately for the same amount of time they are down injured.

I see that Leicester's Wout Faes is still Liverpool's top scorer in the league since November. and he's a Leicester defender.

Getting rid of Zinchenko was bad but understandable. Chasing off Cancelo is just pure egomania from Pep. Lewis offered absolutely nothing today.
It's time for 5 refs.
